  1. Having watched Sound City (the documentary) many times, I had to try out Sound City Studios (the plugin). I really like the sound, unfortunately as others have noted, the CPU usage is very high. However, I noticed that most of the load is due to the Chamber module and, since that's not used in many of the presets I like, I decided to buy it for the other modules. I'm jazzed that for just $34 I can add a bit of that Sound City vibe to my music.

  3. For those who missed it the last time ... and actually need yet another LoFi plugin. Review: https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2024/07/20/karanyi-sounds-lofi-lite/ D/L: https://karanyisounds.com/product/lofi-lite/ref/tomislav/
  4. I'm obviously a human (see recent photo below).
  5. Plugin Boutique must be experiencing a severe robot infestation. I had to click through three I'm-not-a-robot buttons. WTH?!?
  6. DDSP morphs audio into a range of different instruments. Unlike MIDI notes, DDSP preserves the nuances of pitch and dynamics for expressive neural synthesis. 7. Well, at least they don't require you to re-install your entire operating system.
  8. When I click that one, I get the following warning:
  9. Here is the direct link (no code required).
  10. True. But Dreamtonic's betas are very stable compared to those of other companies.
  11. Details can be found here. This is the first version that allows SynthV to be used as a plugin inside Pro Tools (Pro edition only).
  12. For me it was the other way around. I didn't receive an email notification but did find a voucher in my account.
  13. Me either. Probably because I haven't bought anything from them in a few years. In their eyes I'm a deadbeat.
  14. All the SSL plugins I own (X-Delay, X-Echo, FlexVerb, X-Saturator) were successfully updated to the versions shown in your original post. Did you try clearing the installer cash?
  15. FYI: SSL enables usage data collection even if you disable it in Preferences. Not cool!
  16. You forgot to say installed! ?

  18. I'm not sure how/why it works for me (especially since I'm not using a Mac). Have you tried contacting UAD's Tech Support?
  19. Yes, I think you're right. But Waves' loses too because I'm not going to update anything anymore. Other plugin companies sell their products in bundles (e.g. FabFilter) but still let you upgrade individual plugins.
