Okay, thanks for confirming that it's not just me!

Thanks, I thought that might be the case, but I've never started a trial on AT5 (or any IKM product for that matter). I'm curious if this is happening to just me or to others as well (possibly resulting from a recent update).

Initially I thought this might be the result of an registration/activation issue, but AT5 correctly displays what I own and what I don't own. And all the items I do own seem to work properly (at least the few that I checked). So, this pop-up does not seem to be an error message.

Recently I've been getting this annoying pop-up message (in both the standalone and plug-in). Is this happening to anyone else and is there a way to prevent it?

For me (Win10 Pro 20H2 / RME UCX) plugin performance on C12 Pro is about the same as C11 Pro except for most NI (esp Kontakt) instruments which is much worse on C12! It's so bad in fact that for some VIs (eg Pharlight & Straylight) I can't even play a single note on a a single instance of the plugin without getting audio drop-outs and crazy perf meter spiking.

I opened "cosmos.sqlite" (located in " ...\AppData\Local\Waves Audio\Waves Plugin Server") and confirmed that the latest Waves' update erased all my sample library additions (just the paths, not the actual samples/folders) leaving only the Waves' samples (as described by abacab). Nice!

Me too!!! I took me hours to read in all my samples. WTH?!?

Even if you just want to install Choir (via a custom installation)?

From my perspective, the process above is a perfect example of 'turnkey' (with the proviso that you have to turn the key 15 times!).

Lots of great new features and updates to old ones ... but $70 to upgrade?!? I paid only $200 to upgrade Komplete 13 UCE from version 12, and that came with a gazillion VIs, FXs, and Expansions! I'll buy SSS v2 when it goes on sale...

Hmm, I wonder if this is a case of "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity" (i.e., the person you corresponded with at SB is simply ignorant of SB's announcements). If it is indeed an attempt to cheat you out of something that you clearly are entitled to, I'd say that's very unsavory of SB. Since we don't have a disapproving, finger-waving emoticon, I made my own. Take that SB!

Does this come with a standalone app, or is it just a DAW plugin?

How far did you get? Were you able to install C12 (but got stuck at activation)?

Sniff, "free" has an asterisk after it -- i.e., it's not really free. ?

Can you move it after the fact with the Steinberg Library Manger? That's what I've done in the past. Also, IIRC, you can specify a default installation path for future installs.

Same here. It took just an hour to download, install and authorize. And I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works. Except for two minor issues with the Project Assistant and Melodyne/ARA, everything works 100%. This release was all about usability and you see these improvements everywhere. Most of them are fairly small, but they really add up. I hope SB continues along this path; versions 9.5-11 almost made me switch to Studio One.

Yes. I just installed C12 Pro (with the new licensing system) this afternnon and am still able to run C11 Pro via the dongle (on the same Win10 laptop).

C12. My point simply was that if you don't successfully activate C12 first, it won't show up in My product downloads.
