Okay. That sounds like you may have split a clip(s) not at Zero Crossings. That will probably make a noise when played back.

Right. Soft synths do not 'record' like an audio track. You will have the MIDI track pointed to the soft synth and the soft synth's audio output track (or a Simple Instrument Track, which is a hybrid MIDI/Audio track). In either case, the audio must be rendered in some way to have an audio track, either by Freezing or Bouncing.

Welcome to the forum. I can't say why this is happening, but you can try moving the clip to another track but at the same time and see what happens.

Comic strip? What's that? Milton Berle taking his clothes off?
-
As mentioned above, you can clone the track, add the Transpose plug-in to that track, transpose an octave down, and your original track will show just the notes you played. But you will have an additional track.

Becan, the answer is always becan.

You say that now, but what about next year? ? If you can afford it, more is better.

Also, for those mixers which can function as audio interfaces, many only send a stereo signal to the DAW, regardless of how many channels the mixer has. So if you're thinking of getting one, check them out carefully. I guess that's what you're doing here. ?

Yes, the answer is always yes.

[SOLVED] Can't hear my bass guitar well when recording.
57Gregy replied to tdehan's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
If the recording level is okay, just reduce the volumes of the other tracks so the bass is more prominent. -
And on my computer it's on page 2 or 3.

I don't have any of those.

That's cool. So, I may have heard your band on The Weather Channel? Yeah, I'm old, I watch the Weather Channel.

I guess my 15 minutes of fame came in about 1981, when our band was interviewed on radio station KTYD in Santa Barbara, CA. It was actually closer to an hour, though. We had just recorded 4 songs at a local studio (garage) and were featured on their 'New Music' hour. I think it was a Sunday. I was just the rhythm guitar player and I sang a little, so we all assumed that the main guy, Silvester Hernandez would do most of the talking since he wrote most of the songs and did most of the singing. But once they got started, everybody just clammed up, even our loquacious drummer Scott Slicton (RIP). I don't know if it was stage fright or what, but we began with a lot of dead air. So I started talking and pretty much had the stage to myself. The DJ asked questions and played our 4 songs, and since KTYD was at that time one of the more popular stations in that area, our music was heard by possibly thousands of people that night. Okay, maybe hundreds.

I made my mark in the world when I fell off a scaffold.

Welcome to the forum. Hit the Delete button on your computer keyboard. That should remove your selected clip, which looks like measure 4.1 to measure 7. Does that not work?

This still happens to me sometimes on a few projects. Others play and stop normally. In one project, I discovered a drum hit with a duration in the billions. In other songs, there is no visible data beyond the apparent end, even in Event List. I just hit the space bar and don't worry about it.

Not as long as my 32-bit Windows XP computer with the E-Mu 0404 and SONAR Home Studio 6 XL installed is still working. When it ultimately does die, I would have no problem paying... something for CbB. I have only ever used Cakewalk DAWs. Not against other brands, but it's what I know, and as a hobbyist I barely make time for recording so I don't think I could ever summon the energy to try and learn another system.

I don't have very much experience with Instrument Tracks, but I just created one and it exported correctly. Sorry, I don't have any more ideas.
-
I assume these three tracks are being played through soft synths (including Simple Instrument Tracks) and the soft synth tracks are also selected?
-
Right, forgot about that. In my Yamaha MX49, you have to change the setting when switching from DIN to USB.
-
Sorry. Yeah the audio chip on the computer, often mistakenly called a sound "card". ?

There are at least 3 types of tracks in CbB; MIDI, Audio and a hybrid, Simple Instrument Track. This is a combined MIDI/audio track where a soft synth is used. I have never used Instrument Tracks, but I believe that in order to see and edit the MIDI, there's something else that has to be done. BRB. Well, using a SIT, I was able to see the Staff every time. How are you trying to see it? Views>Staff at the top or a keyboard shortcut?
