  1. You can select the length by dragging on the timeline then bouncing/exporting. Any clip that is too long you can split/delete the excess or slip edit the clip then Bounce To Clips. There are other ways.
  2. Bapu must have the best wife in the world. Or a discrete UPS driver.
  3. So, you're the one who knows what time it is?
  4. At the top in the box that reads "Custom", change that to "All" and you will see all the controls. Then you select the 'O' for output and set it to nothing. Oh, wait. Looking a little closer, you already have an out. I seldom use Drum Maps (I probably should). I'm not sure how to set that to 'None'. Look in the Drum Map Manager. The vertical lines are some MIDI control messages, most likely Velocity. When opened in the Controller Pane, they can be adjusted, dragged up or down to change the attack, loudness or timbre of the hit.
  5. My friend Tim is among many service members being honored in Daytona Beach as Memorial Day approaches. He lived many years there until his death. His wife took this picture and sent it to his sister, my roommate. He was also a lawyer and author. One of his novels included a CD of music he wrote to be played at certain points while reading the book.
  6. I can't see, either. Just drag the clip to the new track. Hold Shift down while dragging so it remains in place in the timeline. But, are both parts highlighted before the bounce?
  7. Hey, Ol Pal, sometimes when things like this happen, it's a Workspace setting. Open your Basic template, set it like you want and then save it to whatever Workspace is showing. I don't know if Workspace and Templates work together like that, but might be worth a try.
  8. Tell me, oh Anglo associates, has ELP's version of Jerusalem still never been played on the BBC? Seems wrong.
  9. That would be your entire mix?
  10. Welcome to the forum. Are you seeing the VST scan run when you first open up Cakewalk? Cakewalk is not loading those, just checking to see what is there. You can turn that off, since once it knows what is there, it doesn't need to be reminded of it every time unless you install some new VSTs. Then you can run the VST scanner manually. Recommended. Antway, like reginaldStjohn wrote, open a new project and see what happens.
  11. Welcome to the forum. Turn the output off in the MIDI track.
  12. Yeah, I discovered that it's 'Paste Special' now.
  13. If you copy and paste, the paste dialog allows you to set the time and track of the copy. USE PASTE SPECIAL NOW. I think. On the phone now and can't remember exactly what the paste dialog allows. Works in SONAR Home Studio 6!
  14. I don't think my brother played in the Cereal Bowl. I don't remember doing any bowling when we were in Michigan.
  15. A mix bus is any bus you choose to do all your sound processing through. There's nothing special about it.
  16. Finally made time to watch this. Really cool and a lot of information I didn't know about them. A 2 1/2 ton steel drum set? And I complain about having to lug my Fender Mustang around! Thanks for posting this.
  17. Worked for me. And I also got braces in 1969.
  18. Holy smoke! Sorry about that. Don't know how it happened. There was only 1 song/link on the page and that was what I copied. Thanks craigb! And sorry to subject you all to that other thing again. ? I inserted a new link. a public link. Maybe it will work now? https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14593692
  19. We lived near Battle Creek, Michigan in '68-'69 and my brother Steve turned 16 in '69. He played rhythm guitar in this band composed of schoolmates (maybe the singer/guitarist was in the Air Force) and they recorded this in a 'teen club' on Fort Custer Air Force Station, on a stereo reel-to-reel with a stereo mic. The recordings recently reappeared after being MIA for several years. Here's a medley of the 3 songs, about 3:50. https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14593692
