  1. My second all-time favorite tenor sax player Gibraltar - Stanley Turrentine
  2. Tempus Fugit - The Stan Getz Quartet Stan is my all-time favorite jazz tenor sax player
  3. There is more than one right way to enjoy music. I think "classical" is an acquired taste. I played it in school when I was young, but blues and rock n roll were more fun. I still liked classical but didn't listen. Then I got into a jazz for recreational listening. Eventually went back to classics. I still enjoy just about anything but Bagpipes and Rap, and listen to a variety, but when it comes to serious listening, a nice symphony does it for me. But it's not for everyone, and that's OK. Neither is rap or bagpipe music. ;)
  4. Valentine - Jim Brickman & Martina McBride We used to play this song when it was semi-popular. It was requested by a regular customer. Leilani does a great job singing it no longer resonates with the crowd. Some songs are disposable.
  5. Hmm seems to be a classical day for me. Slovak Suite - Vítězslav Novák This is not the version I have on my CD player, but it's the same piece of music.
  6. Rhythm is a weirdly spelled word Miami's Own Gloria Estefan - Rhythm Is Gonna Get You
  7. And I might post it again. I do listen to songs more than once. ? Here is a nice symphony by a romantic Russian master. I don't think I've posted this one before, and it'll keep me entertained for about a half hour Symphony #2 (Antar) - Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov
  8. I think I'll cook a burger on the grill with cheese and becan for lunch today.
  9. Nah, it goes to the diner after the gig, and then the gas tank to get home.
  10. Mars and Venus? To tell you the truth, I don't remember. My captors (so-called parents) often lied to me. They told me the moon was made of green cheese, if I cross my eyes they would get stuck that way, and if I keep playing with it I'd go blind etc., so I can't believe that story about the birds and the bees. As for Leilani and I -- No kids, no pool, no pets, no debts, no regrets. But no harm if we keep trying :D Notes
  11. Well IMHO it wasn't the best song by The Residents. Here is one of my favorite Paul Desmond songs. Dave Brubeck and the others do a fine job backing him up Blue Rondo à la Turk - The Dave Brubeck Quartet That was back when the world was in black and white
  12. The raccoons in my yard are naked. Other than masks over their eyes. Obviously to hide their identities. (not hiding their t*tties). Streakers I presume. Fortunately I don't have any children to be exposed to animal nakedness.
  13. Drugs? I did some drugs when I was a hippie. They didn't affect me affect me affect me affect me affect me affect me affect me affect me affect affect affect affect affect . What was I saying?
  14. Obviously he plays music for a living.
  15. I wonder why? What's the connection? I'm just curious.
  16. I love those kinds of great observations, but I couldn't play the Bentley video. I'll search for it here in the USA. So we're playing on "Bentley Rhythm Ace - Why is a Frog Too?" "I Can Be A Frog" - The Flaming Lips
  17. Pass the basalt please.
