Plugin Boutique Scaler 2 Black Friday Sale (Exclusive)
Brian Walton replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Perhaps the only plugin I can think of that I think is worth full retail. -
Well if you bought v1 of Sasquatch it was included, check your user account download section Boz has some glitches with the cost of a product. Sometimes it correctly says $0 if you own it, other times it does not, and gets even more unusual when you are dealing with Bundles, where I own all the plugins in a bundle but the amount for each plugin and "upgrade" prices are out of wack from if you owned them individually.

interesting move, wonder if they are going to "pull" the CM one out of the Computer Music pile with this move. Or no longer provide updates to that one, etc.

Hopefully you responded with a long list of some concerns. -
Far better this way, as you don't have to sign up for yet another email list if you simply put in an email you don't really use.

I think the word on the street is that there are no longer "generic" vouchers at any tier.

Watch all - but the fun stuff is around the 5:00 mark for how it can work across the entire track quickly.

How does it compare to the results of the sibilance remover in Melodyne 5? That is what I've found is best of bread. Of course it is also the most expensive option if you only are using it for a De-Esser.

As a first time customer you simply have to wait for the 50% off week, use a 20% off referral code and sign up for the newsletter to get another $10 bucks off That takes the price down to $12ish to unlock the free bundle. If you buy something without the 20% off referral it may negate your ability to use it later as the idea is to draw in first time purchases.

While I agree, I'm pretty sure FL is among the most popular DAWs out there from what I've read.
-
There is also a free non multiband version.

Advice please - any Neural DSP Plug-in users in here?

Have demo'd a number of them. Not a metal player here. Thought all of them I tried out were over-rated, not bad just not worth anywhere near the asking price. ToneX is where it is at. That said, for Free - I'd certainly demo them and find what you will get the most out of with that and QC. -
GForce Imposcar 2 free with upcoming issue of Computer Music Magazine
Brian Walton replied to audioschmaudio's topic in Deals
While I've experienced this, I'm not fully convinced this is a problem with the format itself (pointing instead to developers not doing it properly) as there are far too many VST3s that do work just fine. -
GForce Imposcar 2 free with upcoming issue of Computer Music Magazine
Brian Walton replied to audioschmaudio's topic in Deals
Well VST2 is set to no longer be supported by the company that developed the format so others could follow. It does have some other advantages such as the ability to not waste cpu when. Signal isn't passing through it. -
It was supposed to be min $125 with the new change. Glad to hear it wasn't enforced.

PressReader listed the date as Oct, I didn't do the research to dig deeper. Yes it has Slammer as the give away from what I saw. -

Press reader is still on the oct issue going to need a reminder again on this one! -
Yes sorry I have mine also but what you don't get is the x3e the last patch that felt like a stable product Of if you bought an upgrade to producer you wouldn't have install discs
-
If it is unopened there is no way to know if Cakewalk will give you the registration code. From this distant memory the box contains a serial number, then you need to give that to Cake to get a registration code. Once you have both in hand, it can be off-line authorized. Since they discontinued X3, it would be a bit risky as Cakewalk may not give you the code you need to actually unlock it at this point. I've seen an unopened box show up on the market before - but it wasn't cheap - assuredly more than the new Sonar will cost. Also note they also were no longer shipping discs, therefore you also have the battle of getting the installer if they are not registering new accounts any longer. I went through my account and downloaded some of the installers yesterday to make sure I at least had an option if things go south here.
-
"(less than what anyone paid for SONAR platinum" Well that is a really broad range. And that was also the flagship product....if they had said "Artist" I think I'd feel a bit better about the situation and expectations.

Over the past 3 years there have been an absurd amount of opportunities for $40 + $25 off voucher opportunities when you factor in the weekly discount codes they would send for specific products which could be stacked. It is true that between the 32-40 range of things that you couldn't get for free (with a $20 no min spend gift code) were a bit more rare. The problem is lots are $39.99 during those deals which wouldn't qualify - thus this is actually a major change. That only lasted for maybe a couple months and then went right back down to the way it was for years. They also did this due to a rather generous $50 bundle that was out and they didn't want to let anyone get it for $25. So frankly it isn't a good example.
-
Correct, though the working theory is they apply a 12 month spend rule historically. So Oct spend would in theory have relevance to what they send you next year and for how long. Just another sign the new owners just realized the market shifted in the post lockdown + suffering economy world.
-
You are correct either the post was sarcasm or the deal got worse Good news is that sort of raises the value of what I have and less likely to feel the need to buy more. The pop up store for me is the potential area of impact that may fall under that $40 point
-
This is a fairly new development in the Cakewalk world, the X versions and number versions before that used a a serial and redemption code process that didn't keep phoning home for confirmation. I don't remember if they added this during the Platinum/lifetime days or if it was a Bandlab addition, but the last X3 products didn't stop working if you disconnect from the Internet for 7 months.
