  1. You might want to do some more research. They make some of the most advanced plugins on the market and they just had an update today and if history is any indicator, there will be yet another update shortly again. The UI is simplistic but fully resizable and generally speaking this cuts down on cpu consumption.
  2. I also use iLok, but one install is problematic for me. I have two iLoks (and certainly prefer a min of 3 installs). Need the authorizations in the same account as I'm not about to buy a crazy number of plugins twice. I certainly agree with having more than 1 saturator. But everyone is going to have different stuff. I find that there are a few that get installed and have never made it to a project adn keeping track of them and uninstalling is more hassle than the freebie was worse. This was simply in response to a "why not." And for me, these were my reasons on this one. I do like Slate's Air plugin and it gets used.
  3. List of reasons 1) ilok - guessing this is like "Air" where they only give you 1 seat 2) another plugin to scan 3) Function covered by something else 4) More clutter in the VST folder 5) I'll never actually use it other than to open it for the first time 6) revisiting projects in the future if I accidentally do use it becomes a hassle 7) Think Slate uses a manager / not just an individual installer?
  4. They were there for about a month or so, then all disappeared into one singular MComplete file
  5. It was more about making sure if this becomes some useful playground of sounds, that I'd have access to my guitars (and bass) in there. Honestly don't think you can really do anything with credits once you have MComplete, which one could argue isn't fair in the event you would want to transfer a purchase to someone else. In fact, before I got MComplete I actually had a duplicate of a plugin. Once I got MCOmplete, it removed all my licenses other than MComplete. Not complaining at this point as I never thought I'd be able to get MComplete, and with the transfer costs - it seems like it would be an unlikely sell of non-complete items to someone else. And by instruments, I meant guitar and basses.
  6. Ahh, yes. I've submitted about 18 sets or so already from a number of instruments. Already have MComplete, but was curious if there was another deal on the table to pass on to some friends.
  7. That worked. The largest size still has real estate left over on at 1920x1080 monitor. What a terrible design to have to know that to get a reasonable UI size!
  8. Yeah, but they have run specials to get from Essential all the way up to Studio for ~200ish a few times. So the retail price is always the "sucker" price.
  9. I'm sure Affinity would argue with me - but this is the list and for most users, I'd tend to this this isn't game changing stuff. Of course there have been bug fixes and things of that nature. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/whats-new/
  10. Still 76% off, so record lows here. If you submit one of the guitar recording things - you can get this basically for free which is crazy. I had LE until I got MComplete and never felt like I was missing out on features with it. Getting into the Edit page on SoundFactory takes a special type of person.
  11. It is the LE version (comes with all the same instruments just can't create your own) https://www.meldaproduction.com/MSoundFactoryLE
  12. Hmm...that doesn't make much sense if true. Extra seat for a product one already has $350 or upgrade from the lowest tier ($50 for $250). I was thinking it should be something nominal like $30 as it is still tied to an individual user.
  13. Don't know about VAT as I don't have to deal with that, but current is $74 for the whole suite which brings it into v1 sale pricing territory for those using all 3 products. I use Photo every week (or close to it) and Publisher at least once a month. I didn't think the v1 to v2 was really worth it at release - but the hope is they will give a few years before charging for v3 - it is a gamble for sure at this point. Hoping we get some real needed/new features along the way. But for the average users, I'm not sure I saw much worthy of the price difference.
  14. Wow that is a deal. Launch deal was this for everyone (they couldn't track who was a v1 owner)
  15. Wonder how much an extra seat for Studio 5 costs when one already hasStudio 5. It says this can be done but not sure how much it is during this sale. Would be nice to get another Ilok authorization but also don't want to pay much to get it.
  16. I can't really think of any rare one offs, outside of getting something like Clapton's "Dominos" Champ, etc which by nature then become a signature. Lots of the grail era mini amps only cost a couple grand.
  17. I'm also a big small amp fan, but I'm not sure what would constitute the need for the pricey "signature" line there. That can be done with any partner collection pack (or 3rd party). The signature line seems like a price justification based on something a bit more unique. Billy Gibbon's small amp collection, as an example. A collab with Ultra Sound Amps would have been amazing, but they also sold off of virtually all of the really special stuff they had.
  18. A Different piano but MSOUNDFACTORYLE at $26 currently gives you Meldway Grand in addition to Monastery Grand. Meldway Grand is large but also crazy good
  19. That is how I've done it. I've also seen where someone marks it as a liked/favorite then goes into the App to find them. Haven't tried that yet myself.
  20. This is a bit unique. There are two amps that justify this kind of outlay. 1) Trainwreck 2) Dumble - with a caveat - the good ones If you factor in the rarity and difficulty in obtaining access to one (or more) plus the time to do advanced captures - $49 while a bit annoying isn't totally insane. The Trainwreck Amp I helped profile, no question I would have paid that for it - but then again it also makes an ODS look like a common amp. Outside of this Dumble set, I'm expecting they will do a Joe Bonamassa set - after that they are going to have some difficulty getting something with the same interest / rarity outside of doing artist collaborations where say Slash brings in the "I recorded AFD with this" which obviously would open the wallet of quite a few people. If they go the Trainwreck route they are going to have a difficult time getting the most desirable model, and I'm sure they would have to settle for an Express or maybe a Liverpool.
  21. Usually this is the time of year they offer one of the EZKeys MIDI packs down to a reasonable level, surprised they don't seem to even be doing that (yet)
  22. Installed but likely won't get much use. UI is small and not resizable as far as I can tell.
