I agree with all your posts. The UI needs to evolve, be modernized with usability improvement. A friend and I @Herbert Zio.we have already brought suggestions for quick implementation of folder resources in the console view. Something that is much faster than creating PRESETs, etc.

There are already some reasons. I would like to go into more depth with regard to the issue of application performance, as I always thought that, running as an Administrator, the application would have powers over the machine that could avoid unnecessary crashes, among other things. What do you think ?
-
Microsoft support reports this: "The difference between running a program as Administrator or local, is precisely the level at which this program can access your machine. Generally, programs that use this resource are programs that need to change or create records on your computer . The location does not grant these permissions to the application." What do you base your opinion on? "unexpected problems:" If you could list some or even make a comparison between one mode and another. Would be great. I really want to learn about this.

I ran tests by opening about 20 projects. All took on average more than 1 minute to open. Always run the application as Administrator When opening the application, you can already see better performance, making the START SCREEN screen available much faster. This did not happen in the previous version. What I can report is that projects that took 1.30 m/1.40 m to open now open in 30/35 s. I don't know if this was expected. I don't know what operations are carried out to close a Project, but I think that maybe it also deserves to be observed if there isn't something better in the routines, because I observe that for many seconds the application appears as NOT RESPONDING. Maybe it was possible to put in the Performance Module or another screen the effective opening time of the project. Suggestion.

@msmcleod @Noel Borthwick PICTURE CACHE - Any problems reported about PICTURE CACHE? I had some problems opening some projects that only worked after I cleared the PICTURE CACHE folder. In one of the previous versions, 2022.09 (???) information was inserted that the application itself would manage this, deleting the oldest files when it needed more space. Other projects keep getting the message COULD NOT FIND OR OPEN THE FILE and it crashes. The information that project save operation is in progress. When approaching via Task Manager to close the application I verify that there are Teleport Server(32) services in progress. I think it could be something related to the audio device, because I notice that if I disconnect and reconnect the USB, the application returns to work normally.

@msmcleod I detected very strange behavior. After a change I made in the preferences of the audio settings for ASIO, I was informed if I would prefer to change it to WASAPI, because I'm running on a DELL notebook where I only have Realtek installed, the mouse pointer started to have a round gif, like if it was operating something, but in fact it works whenever any menu option is pressed. The mouse continues to function normally, but with the pointer changed. I changed it to Wasapi Shared and the application made the mouse pointer available again.

I do the same.

@msmcleod @Noel Borthwick I don't know if it might be related to the same issue, but I noticed the following issue. I'm using Melodyne 5.1.1.003 VST3 and noticing that Time Ruler is advancing almost half the time. Example: If the note starts at time 132 the line is already at 132.5 when the note of 132 is issued. I noticed this at EA and it has remained now.

CHANGE BPM OF A PROJECT - HOW TO PUT WAV FILES IN THE SAME BPM

Hello. It's definitely in some sort of configuration. I'll leave it to @msmcleod to opine. -
CHANGE BPM OF A PROJECT - HOW TO PUT WAV FILES IN THE SAME BPM
Milton Sica replied to Milton Sica's question in Q&A
For me it worked perfectly. In the second option which was how I was using it, how to change the view of the percentage increase or decrease to have decimals? -
I am not able to increase the BPM by 10%, that is, from 110 to 121. With MIDI tracks this is no problem at all. The problem is with the WAV tracks. Follow my thought. 1) If I increased the BPM by 10% when using the STRETCH tool (CTRL+Shift+Mouse) I drag the track size to 90%. 2) Or, if I increased the speed by 10% the same decrease should be done on the WAV track. Even doing it this way, the sync is not established. I'm not here worrying about the PITCH of the voice or guitar.

Hello. Do we already have a topic to comment on the production version 2022.11? I ask why I installed it and I am encountering some problems. Yesterday I created a new project with the EA version and it was saved with the same version. Now, when trying to open it again with version 2022.11, it's just been more than 5 minutes trying to open it and it won't open.

@msmcleod Thank you very much. Pardon ! I thought that this innovation would make this improvement also in this operation. After all if I "select track and bus" my understanding is that when we say "all tracks" selected, in fact it is: - Will work for ALL selected TRACKS - Will work for ALL selected BUS. Separately for BANDS and FOR BUS.
-
@Noel Borthwick I downloaded the new EA and it still remains as follows: - Either delete or change all FX, even if TRACKS and BUS are selected, it only works within the TRACKS or BUS scope, depending on where the right button has been clicked to access the MENU. If this is the expected behavior then I suggest it be clarified in the functionality detail. - On a MIDI track with more than one existing control the lines remain in the same color causing confusion as they mix. The impression I have is that the sampling is always given by the highest value of one of the controls. Example: If I have Tremolo-120, Modulation-90 and Pedal - 50. The line that appears behind the MIDI notes is the largest, that is, in this case: Tremolo-120. So I think this functionality is very good, but it would need to be improved to actually show all existing controls in their correct values.
