Universal Audio Essentials Edition Limited Time Sale (Exclusive) for $49
pseudopop replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
So... Is this a better deal than those $14 plugins you were all buying a while ago? Should I dip my toes in the UAD ecosystem? -
Beat Magazine sure likes to encourage people to get a new subscription each year instead of renewing their current one.
-
The code is still valid so I went ahead and bought three expansions. 50% off is not a particularly good discount in general, but the expansion packs are $50 everywhere elsewhere so I thought this was a good deal. I think 50% off is as good as it gets on Tracktion Marketplace. I almost didn't buy anything because their website kept kicking me out and throwing errors about invalid remote address, whatever that means. I can't remember the last time I struggled this much to give someone money.

I, for one, mostly regret not getting something for cheap rather than not getting it at all. I have all the plugins and VIs I need to create great sounding music. Still waiting for that killer deal on talent.

This week the free game on Epic Games is Godlike Burger. The game is free until October 12, 2023. The trailer music sounds good, at least:

I feel like an outsider watching you all get so excited about these plugins. I'm looking at the list and can't see a single one I'm interested in. Are they all either hardware emulations or versions made specifically for UA hardware?

Lunacy Audio Fall Sale 40% off | Free CUBE mini with Canopies
pseudopop replied to Simeon Amburgey's topic in Deals
I miss everything except the Mini and the individual products total $253. So the bundle is cheaper but not by much in my book. -

With the current prices that's only $96 total. I dislike bundles that are not cheaper than buying the products individually. -

What kind of prices are you getting for the complete bundle? I have Cube Mini and my price is $209 + VAT. Last April people were reporting that the full bundle was only $99: Am I missing something here or have they added $100 worth of content since last April? -
Trüberbrook is currently free on GOG. See first post for details.

Definitely check out Portal 1 & 2, Larry. They are my all-time favorite games and you can get the bundle for under two bucks when they are on sale on Steam. Here are the end credit songs for both games (both of which make much more sense after finishing the games):

This week the free games on Epic Games are: Model Builder Soulstice Games are free until October 5, 2023. Model Builder trailer: Soulstice trailer (might be slightly NSFW):

The Talos Principle is currently on sale. Check the first post for details.

The price is good, at least. I paid 20 € for the crossgrade one year ago.

I can see Mirage and Orakle X in my orders, but only Mirage in my downloads. The code works for me, but only with a single item in the cart. Most of the Mntra stuff I own have been freebies or bought cheaper than $9.99, so I'm not actually sure how good a deal this is.

Sounds like a game for us.

I contacted their support, lamenting how poor old me is being unfairly oppressed with insufficient discounts. Let's see what they say.

Kilohearts ⚡❤⚡ Introducing Cirrus - a new Content Bank from Arovane

I'd buy that Sonible plugin. -
I don't want to spam this forum with off-topic posts, so I will make a single topic about noteworthy game deals and post them here. I will update this post with the details of each new deal and bump the topic to give it some attention. Updates will probably be pretty rare, but let me know if you want me to stop. The Talos Principle Price: 2.89 € (90% off) | 5.36 € for Gold Edition (91% off) Deal Expires: October 10, 2023 Store page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/257510/The_Talos_Principle/ https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/3042/The_Talos_Principle_Gold_Edition/ Notes: This has been an Epic Games freebie in the past so you may already have it, but if not this is a historical low. I really like the early parts of this game, but at some point it became a frustrating test of motor skills for me so I gave up on it. Still, definitely worth 3 bucks. The Gold Edition includes bonus content and two DLCs. Marvel's Avengers - The Definitive Edition Price: 3.99 € (90% off) Deal expires: September 30, 2023 Store page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/997070/Marvels_Avengers__The_Definitive_Edition/ Notes: People seem to think this is an okay game for the sale price. The game is on sale because official support for it is ending at the end of this month and the game will no longer be available for purchase. My UAD coupon must be different, because it says "Cannot be combined with other coupons or offers." and true enough, I can't use PULTEC50 with it. And here I was getting all excited...
-
Any idea when this deal will end?
-
Yes, I know. I was trying to make a joke. (I know my sense of humor is sometimes too subtle. Obscure, even. It's not very good, either, if I'm being honest. The deadpan delivery rarely helps.)

I'm not a native English speaker but I think you're missing the word "to" there. To say something on topic, I've noticed that some people seem to think that every library on Earth is, to quote, "pretty, pretty good" and others seem to think most of them are crapiola. There are also huge tracts of land between "this is really good [for my instrumental bluegrass music]" and "this is really good [for my operatic space techno death metal]". This is the kind of assessment I'd like to hear more often. We all need to make the subjective evaluation by ourselves (alas, usually after buying the library) but the technical qualities are not a matter of opinion or taste, though even there we differ on what we appreciate and need. Sometimes you just want something cheap that makes a consistent "boink" and a gazillion round robins and velocity layers would be a bad thing.
