Most plugins install other information in those other Windows files. They are often more than 10 yimes larger than the VST dlls.
-
You can make your own libraries. I have yet to mess with their synth,
-
With Melda you can eventually own everything one piece at a time. If you buy direct you get more credit. They get loyalty right. They don't always have pretty GUIs and their plugins look like a rocket science to figure them out. They also lack a lot of tutorials to make them more popular.

They need to come up with a compression format like NI to reduce files size of their libraries. That's over 800 GB using the ST engine. The nice thing is they don't take forever to load from a HDD. BTW anyone ecer explore all of ST and can list favorite sounds? I never see that. I find the ST browser just sucks for me after using other romplers. I still can't get my head around it. I usually have to open up the other GUIs like Syntronik. I just never feel the need for rompler synths these days. The file structure is so confusing and there needs to be some way of removing what you don't want. Ever since T-Racks came out the reviews have been great but how often does one explore them especially the originals. If you are not a guitar guru Amplitube is all you need instead of other 3rd party. TS Max vs. Komplete. The issue is not about quality but choices are so overwhelming with those large packages you never explore everything. Unfortunately just buying pieces of either is not the better value most of the time. Modo Drum and Bass will probably replace my use of Toontrack since TT gets expensive over time. The plus with IK is their licensing. None of the single or dual machine nonsense. The problem is if you own everything in a Max package individually it's not considered Max. A lot of developers seem to do that.

Oh yes now I remember your handle. I use to buy PLP loops and wondered what happened to them.

Just started now: Eventide Anthology XII 70% off sale.

Yes....the age 25 and under listener will notice it right away on their phones. -
I tend to stay away from TT despite its high quality. Their eco system gets bloated and expensive. I can understand that for SD 3 but their addons for other instruments gets expensive.

I remember the LE version use to be bundled in Home Studio. Funny with all of these high res and big screen TVs as monitors you almost need a magnifying glass for everything. Everything is easier to see on a 32" 720p TV.

Ugh! as much as I tried not to go down Cherry Audio land after so many other synths it's a fail. For $20 I fell for the 4 Cherry apps. I downloaded all of the loops since some actually have midi.

It's downfall is they way you have to work using Kontakt or Sampletank. The GUI is nothing fancy which doesn't attract users. When Sony got out of the software business, Acid users when to this DAW. Speaking of Acid I still likes it's simplicity. Too bad they never has a real separate window for sequencing.

Meh.......I think this is their least desired synth. I have everything AAS.

avoid unless you are into vaporware. There is a free version in CM mag.

Since most of us stopped getting emails from Waves I wonder if they will do what the Wusik guys does and still find a way to send them.
-
Waves to offer FREE plugins with lifetime support.
kitekrazy1 replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
No one can be that naive to believe that. -
Oh that's right it was Mackie. I think I still have v2 archived.
-
Tracktion was originally their free DAW.
-
This is really nice free library.
-
You can remove them from Windows ADD/REMOVE Programs. You can also just delete the folders and have them hidden in Kontakt.
-
I guess most people never to bother with settings in the app. You can specify locations. Every download thingy I have goes to a download folder and then I archive them keeping the two latest versions. Some of them have options to delete after install like Arturia.
-
Not when you have to buy it.

I think when EastWest puts their orchestra on sale that price is hard to beat if one wants to be content. I'd be afraid to take inventory of all of my orchestra sounds right now and I rarely use any of it.

He stopped carrying them for a short period some time ago. He's also on the slow side maintaining the site. I use to buy mine from Koby. He's removed all Waves. BTW there was also a vendor called Waves Universe. I could think of many titles to rename that site.
