  1. Quotes from IL staff The money to buy other companies actually comes from our own profits not from the investors. Why do you think I am being coy? My comment was that I think people, particularly the naysayers, would be very surprised how big FL Studio is these days. Regards Scott Not at all, we do not leverage Waterland's finances in any way. They bought a stake in IL. They do not finance us. However none of this is really your business. You should be making music, instead of having digs at us about mergers and acquisitions and guessing at our financial arrangements. The status with WL has been the case for years, and it's only just now anyone noticed. No way on that one. Gotta have DAW drama.
  2. Yes UVI is now part of Image-Line. Incidentally, so is Melda Production, WA Production and Producer Loops ( for over 1 year now ). I assume some of you noticed this on our Sounds page? Surprising as it may be to some, we have been growing very rapidly over the last decade. FL Studio is installed 30.000 times/day with peaks up 70.000 times/day during new releases, with some of the biggest producers using FL Studio to create chart-topping music all over the world. That success puts us in a position to strengthen the Image-Line business with the addition of companies, and most importantly talent, that compliments what we do. UVI are already doing very well by themselves and they will continue to create and release high-quality products independently for their entire user base. We will be looking to combine and complement each other's offerings where it makes sense for the respective customers in the future. No, we will not mess with their business or stop the sale of their VST/AU etc, that would be silly. Anything more, you will need to wait and see. We have proven, I would hope, with our Lifetime Free Updates policy that has stood for 25 years, we can be trusted to keep our word. The whole team prides itself in doing the right thing by our customers. Actions speak louder than words here. We have positive and good things coming for both FL Studio and UVI customers and both businesses will continue to work independently from a product perspective. Regards Scott People gotta have their DAW drama. If you have an FL account go and see for yourself.
  3. Don't think so unless Gibson buys them. Image Line, UVI, Melda are small companies. I assume Image Line believes in each store as a separate business. Beside you can't take someone's coding and mash it into yours. I think Cakewalk never improving the staff view speaks volumes.
  4. I'm too stupid to figure out how to use it anyway
  5. I'd pay for it if they removed the TMP.
  6. People think one company is going to take over the other's coding and rarely does it improve. I have yet to be overwhelmed when Magix upgrades Vegas, Soundforge, or Acid. Gigastudio tech bought by Garritan never went anywhere. We know everything acquired by In Music rarely improves. See BFD 3. There's a new user at Ci Control who appears to be from UVI say not to worry.
  7. My goal is 16 measures than delete, then browse deals.
  8. He's known for bashing FL Studio. You eliminate a lot of potential subs. If he was working with a project involving video I could understand that frustration. Some people so it but working with video in a non linear DAW is a mystery to me. In the FL forum people are complaining about UVI being iLok and they would never buy. That decision was made long before that. Buying another developer doesn't make things better. Rare does it happen with authorization. When Izotope bought that verb company it a one license where Izotope doesn't really have a machine limit . How many of you would prefer that BFD be on iLok? (me!) Now if Image Line had only bought Waves............
  9. Not sure I see it. I'll wait to hear from Scott to come down from the ivory towers of Image Line to squelch the rumors.
  10. I thought I was the only one who held that title.
  11. Schocked by this. Not for from UVI but Image Line. BTW Image Line is a small developer that just happens to have one of the most popular DAWs out there. They are also doing well financially. Maybe they were approached by UVI. We can speculate all day. They also have their own rompler called Flex.
  12. Anyone notice IK is joining Sounfpaint in the bloat parade? Tonex takes up 4gb of space.
  13. I wont upgrade until I learn v5. By then v12 should be out.
  14. Anyone who doesn't have Melda everything can get on their mailing list and every week 4 plugins are half off. Plus a lot of time is taken auditioning those loops. I use to go for these deals (use to sometimes fails) eventually you archive the stuff or end up with a ton of loops that makes Soundpaint and Sampletank seem small.
  15. Lotsa bloat. Have all of the WA plugins. Most of those loops have been in the previous bundle. They only thing worth it is the Lanikea packs and there are only 2.
  16. I'm getting turn off with synth romplers. One library easily exceeds my plugin folder.
  17. Most of that is not necessary if one dives deep into the total FL package. The $199 bundle seems far more useful.
  18. What might make this worth it is if there is an upgrade deal on RennMAxx. You don't really need to go any further if you are not into the Waves eco system.
  19. I'm not sure it's worth the 19gb of space.
  20. Like machine limits, no online authorization? Instruments the require full Kontakt have no restrictions like other players.
