  1. Image - Line - one of the reasons it become my favorite DAW. They also gave me Flex presets after being in the hospital which was all of them at that time. iLok - great support. Spitfire - they have weekend support. VSL I like to support developers who have the "I trust you" attitude towards the enduser. When I stopped using Sonar I still bought licenses because of that. IK - I know they take a beating over upgrades. The $299 to Total Max was worth it for me to have all of AT5, the newer plugs in TRacks. Their support is top notch. Pete is very good at wearing a fire suit. They give you free stuff and any support issue if resolved quickly. Licensing is my biggest factor. Thumbs down to Steinberg and Waves on this.
  2. I'm still stupid on how to use a compressor despite watching tutorial. If all of my compressors turned into hardware I would need a warehouse for them.
  3. I started to watch these tutorials since I have everything. I thought of it as just another rompler but this is more of a synth. I have yet to download their large banks of drums.
  4. I'm starting to dislike developers. Too much bloat and video cards get outdated because of their shoddy development. Many games are over 100GB, Most games have a 1TB OS drives these days. Few allow quick saves which means they demand more of your time. Witcher 3 is one of the best games because it doesn't demand boutique hardware and has quick saves. Some games with checkpoints annoy you with redundancy.
  5. Wow! I still have a 9800GT still going. I've never had a video card die but only the fans on a unit.
  6. I decided to get the Mo-Verb for free,
  7. Am I the only one who finds it annoying to do more than one click to find the price?
  8. While the products are great at this point I would be collecting them. I have many of them and often I have to go to my account to see which ones I don't have. With the never ending sales of plugins by developers I have to wonder if many users have gotten to the point they don't need anymore.
  9. When they sent the vouchers it said expires at the end of the month then they send another email changing the expiration.
  10. Got an email last week from Image Line - someone trying to log in from a different IP address. Then one from Korg - Your account has been locked due to an excessive number of unsuccessful sign in attempts. Image Line is very good at preventing this, I'm waiting for the phising scams to fool you into logging into a fake site. I see this attempt with Paypal quite a bit.
  11. Registered but didn't bother to install. I don't like how they install things. I have every effect from Izotope, Melda, and IK. I'm pretty much done with plugins.
  12. Just in case in your Intel or AMD processor and Windows system somehow morphs into Big Sur and M1.
  13. There would be people on the Steam forums that would claim you're an idiot. That's their level of knowledge and maturity. I rarely buy new games these days because they are bloated and demand too much time. You would never see a game developer work for Reaper. They would demand the file size be over 1GB and require a 4ghz CPU.
  14. My experience with UVI is basically none other than eating up 18GB of drive space. I should remove it since I never use any of it.
  15. There seems to be a lot of paranoia with software lately. This thread I would put on the level of Waves users fearing the WUP would be cancelled after they just shelled out $300.
  16. I think it was Itzak who broke a string and finished playing using the other strings.
  17. Mine is $149. Is it worth it for 4 new instruments?
  18. That's because they want to install another downloader.
  19. Everyone fears their software will turn to subscription. Many developers have offered them for some time. It is a way to get monthly income. But if more developers lean that way others will market the opposite. There use to be a dongle pandemic. On DAW forums we see "what if your DAW became sub only". Reason users fear that will happen. It's a unique DAW but I think it's held together by loyalists. I guess if the world went the way they fear, FL Studio, Reaper, and Bandlab would remain as options. Steinberg has said Cubase would not be a sub. There are no hints of Live becoming that way. There is the fear of NI going to a sub only. Outside of their VSTs most of their libraries are considered sub par for orchestra.
  20. On one system it is acting like Cubase. It doesn't shut down right away then when I open it up it gives me the extra screen because it didn't shut down properly.
  21. I'm a fan of bland GUIs. I open up Reaper as is. I still use the old skins of former Sony stuff. Live has that 8 bit look. The money spent on Melda "everything" took me out of the running of getting IK "everything".
  22. This is how I feel about SSD prices over 500mb.
  23. I own everything at $213. Now maybe I should use them and not buy anymore plugins.
  24. Maybe it's because people don't bite on the pricier deals.
