Other than those being free is there really any legit reason to get one.

They rarely die. I've got a closet full of PC parts. Poorly optimized software is what makes them seem outdated. I still have a FX6300. I'm not one of those I need 200 track project guys and try to put mastering plugins on every track. (of course I never get that far)

The solution to that which I find very hard to do is to stop buying DAW software. I would hold off since hardware is too expensive for me.

i'M ON THE FENCE about buying CR8. I would have to buy 3 of them. I thinking you don't really need such a thing using Live for FL Studio.

Amazing though that all of their 32bit plugins take up very small space. Toontrack and NI need to get with it. Updates are always flagged because you don't have the 32 bit installed. As for Melda I always download the license file to authorize if needed.
