  1. I still use the plain GUI. I could go crazy just on themes.
  2. I think that's often the case with most presets. When I look at them that are for specific genres it's how many times can they reinvent the wheel.
  3. Beliefs are also driven by money.
  4. I'd say that's with almost everything I buy. Unfortunately Kontakt is always used as a rompler.
  5. It isn't. User groups are not always proof. A developer goes by how often a product is downloaded. Somehow you think a developer is blind to your first statement. A good example is look at all of the Kontakt libraries compared to Halion.
  6. Developing an RE is similar to creating something to use in Kontakt player. Reason charges a developer 30%. The are fewer RE developers. Many of the free REs are from developers who stopped making them. They can't be resold and proprietary and bloat a system drive. My RE's take up 15GB of OS space because they can't be moved.
  7. 1 - it would be proprietary and not worth a developer's time. that's why there is VST 2 - Cakewalk is not popular
  8. I think my life can go on without having another plugin.
  9. I bought it but will probably tame me an eternity to check them out.
  10. Stuff you ignore in a DAW because you think 3rd party is always better or just didn't pay attention to it. Sonar/Cakewalk -Cyclone seemed like it was ahead of its time. It's still in there. Not really sure how to use it -The hidden plugins like the Percussion strip 64 -Sonitus Plugins - Beatscape was a useful Rex player at one time. FL Studio Everything - Harmor and Sytrus are their flagship synth but after going through all of them I didn't realize you can create music with them. Their effects are overrated and seem to add new ones. Live Suite -Max4Live Takes some time to learn Reason Studios -Subtractor, Thor, and Redrum are still a beast to use. They can suffer from neglect due to the shiny REs. Redrum is my favorite easy to use drum sampler. I do come across many tutorials and templates using stock devices. I guess some effects in Reaper are popular. Logic seems to have its own share. I remember when DAWs were not complete and you had to buy additional plugins. Some plugins at one time that were in DAWs were no better than demo software.
  11. Has an annoying 3rd party downloader.
  12. The included library is highly underrated. Unless you are a sample snob tell me those VSL strings don't sound good for budget library.
  13. So does this program work like Acid. Sad that they crippled Samplitude Studio,
  14. Gaming accounts probably have the most attempts.
  15. I remember one of the so called free items that came with Sonar 2 or 3 maybe was VSampler. I still keep it installed despite being 32 bit. https://www.kvraudio.com/product/vsampler-by-speedsoft No longer developed but I liked it better than Kontakt2 for programming.
  16. I'm surprised by this. I seem to have plenty of these versions and never installed them.
  17. 975 MB hard drive space vs. the Soundbloat 3 GB.
  18. Wusik X wasn't even updated. If KVR had a shitlist thread it would be well above Aria Sounds.
  19. If you started on Sonar and went elsewhere Bandlab is hard to ignore.
  20. I rarely use both but I don't feel like I waste my money on a S1 upgrade.
  21. You wouldn't have to pay a singer for a lot of takes. Singing is not a rocket science but the most difficult to master.
  22. Sample that to Kontakt and make some money. It would be a first.
