One other place you need to set the audio bit depth. Files, Audio Data, Record bit depth and Render bit depth. I have found it useful to have Cakewalk use my good audio interface which is an Edirol M-16DX and have Windows use the on board sound chip for all other sounds. I also use ASIO for Cakewalk. In my case the Edirol is plug and play. I don't have to try to get drivers for it. All my DAWs and Video editing programs use the Edirol. Everything else uses the Realtek audio device.

Very nice plugin.

I really like these themes. I find them stunning. I have adopted your second version. It will be the theme I use from now on.

Solved (thanks!!) Can i buy an ad free forum experience?
John replied to Gswitz's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I see them now. On mine they are relegated to the top and not too intrusive. -

I have not seen any ads on this forum. -

What is your graphics card? Are you running the latest drivers for it? Do you dual monitors? -
Problem from old days - remembering plug settings
John replied to xxrich's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I have had old projects that use the old built in EQ which was the Sonitus. When they move to ProChannel and the PC Eq the settings were not transfered. Very annoying. Not exactly the same thing but I fully understand your issue. -
Sonar X3e first with popping and now no sound at all

Fine. One will do what one wants to do. So you knew that there might be problems and you still asked. What good would a positive answer be to you? You would still have to try it for yourself. Or you could hold off until you were more free to test. It is and always has been up to you to decide. At any rate what does that have to with this thread? -

I thought I explained that then. My attitude is all about trying to be looking out for my fellow members. I don't mind being wrong about this. I hope I am. Just be a little careful when things seem very odd. As for your post back then my thinking was and still is that the only way to know about Cakewalk is to try it. Sorry if that seems a bad attitude. -

Nothing wrong with being cautious. It just sounds too bazaar to me. -

I would be careful here guys. I don't know the OP and I doubt any of you do either. I think the whole thing is bit strange. That user name is a bit much too. X3 is way out of date. I could be wrong. -
[fixed]Old Cakewalk forum is down... Is it gone or is this a glitch?
John replied to TheSteven's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Its internet wide. It started yesterday. All sorts of glitches and stoppages. -
Export audio - how to utilize 100 % CPU/disk?
John replied to Panu Pentikäinen's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I don't think one can compare video rendering to audio processing. They are very different things. Each frame in a video would have to be rendered. Audio is a walk in the park compared to that video processing. -
This is for the PRV. Is that what you want? View > Fit MIDI Content Fit all displayed MIDI content into the visible area of the Piano Roll view.

It sounds great and I hope you have it soon. I think you are getting a great computer.

I am bold over! Now this is good news to me. I was actually looking out for you. I am so glad you made it. I did not know who you were. Now I do and couldn't be happier. Welcome Home!

Believe it or not there are just that kind of sounds and worse but clear and well recorded from other sources . Really, if that is your goal then carry on.

That is the worse sounding synth ever made. Why would you want to use it when there are tons of great sounding synths all over the place? There also sample synths such as Dimension Pro or Kontakt.

Pre fader will affect the meter on the Track Inspector. The meter on the Track Header will not be affected. -
Solved! Meter Options: Pre-Fader not working???
John replied to chamlin's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
The level when recording is not controlled by the faders. In fact changing the fader on a track while recording will result in false readings. Keep those meters as is and adjust level at the source. -
Which Uses More PC Resources, ProChannel or 3rd Party?
John replied to razor7music's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Then ProChannel is ideal for that. I'm assuming you have a recent computer with a good CPU. You don't need the greatest and latest computer. It is also possible to freeze tracks you have processed and won't process any more. This will free up resources to do more processing. LOL -
I never said you didn't. I was just adding how I look at the forum. BTW welcome to this forum.
-
Very cool. It took some figuring out how to get it to show up but it has. Yah!

John replied to razor7music's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I don't think the PC EQ is a resource hog. It should not show up much in Performance Module.
