Ok, it actually arrived late last night, after UPS had said it was “out for delivery” each of the previous 4 days and I had escalated a complaint. Package looked like it had been dragged through the streets and then run over, for good luck, by the UPS truck. Will open today with fingers crossed.

Would be nice if they offered a good upgrade price from the older version.

Correction: Perhaps this was a bit of ...ahhh....wishful and naive thinking on my part. I posted this after I received a UPS “out for delivery” notice for this product. It did not arrive though, and appears to have fallen off UPS radar. Just bizarre.

I got my notice. Supposed to arrive today, but got pushed to tomorrow. I guess we’ll see?

I have both SD3 and BFD3, and really dig the sounds of both.....but they do sound different, in particular the rooms. I wind up using SD3 more because, for me at least, it’s GUI is more intuitive. And for some reason on my computer BFD3 can be a little buggy.

Yeah, not one of Toontrack’s most customer friendly decisions.

You actually do also get the installer exe after you update through the S1 DAW. At least that’s true in Windows, where it should show up in your default download folder.

I don’t get why the Studio 4-5 update is so much more expensive than the updates for the lesser models. Assuming the new features have X value, aren’t they just adding those same features having X value to each of their models? .....or am I missing something?

Ok, maybe I’ve been unconscious for the last X number of years (a distinct possibility) but I just noticed something called “Audio Sender” in my Toontrack account. Before I mindlessly download it, (never to use it again), does anyone know what the heck it is?

Yeah, they dumped the presets in my user/documents file even though they only recognize them from a direct file off my C drive. Kind of annoying. I’ve been having a similar Easter egg hunt for the presets on some PA stuff.

I’m not a great fan of USB sticks and dongles, for numerous reasons. When I first saw this I thought Waves was finally allowing two authorizations, like Soundtoys does through ilock software, sans dongle. Oh well....maybe they’ll forget to revoke the extra license when my WUP expires....not. Will this convince me to keep WUPin? Hell no.

Yeah, tried that but can’t find them on my system-even did a hard drive search.Other PA factory presets at user/app data/ roaming/ vst3 but the ones for Digital not there. Hmmm....

I don’t see any factory presets for this plugin. Is that correct?

Love IK stuff but with Superior 3, EZ2 and BFD3, I think I’m set . Part of my new Covid buy only that which I reasonably need approach?

Have been with Studio One since....err...1. I have never completely gotten used to the dark background that started with 3, and wish they would go back to the 2 colors. For me, the primary criteria for a DAW GUI is that 1) the DAW’s functions should all be logically located and easily accessible; and 2) it should be ergonomically easy on the eyes. I do not care at all if its color scheme is trendy or even pretty (so long as it is not flat out butt ugly).
