I’ve got a &50 voucher in my pocket looking for a home. I could bag this for the proverbial $29. Any in use feedback on this?

Haven’t waded through all the promotional material on EZDrummer 3, but one question to which I hope the obvious answer is yes: Will we be able to use all the kits (standard and expansion) as well as standard and purchased midipacks which we already have with 2?

If you’ve only previously heard BFD through Eco, you really haven’t fully heard the BFD sound. Not sure if it’s the sound engine, the way samples are processed or what. But BFD3, despite all of its problems, sounds far superior to Eco.

I’ve got EZ2, SD3, BFD Eco and BFD3. If the only criteria were sound, I’d probably use BFD3 on most of my projects. To me its drums just sound more real and dynamically correct - whereas the Toontrack stuff, to me at least, has a very slightly hyped up glossy quality to it. Unfortunately, sound is not the only criteria, and where Toontrack has created plugins that function seamlessly, BFD3 has been pretty much the opposite, or at least was the last time I tried its InMusic incarnation of it about 7 months ago. So, by default, Toontrack is ordinarily my go to.

Any good deals on EZBass MIDi sixpacks out there?

Hey Peter (I know you’re out there?) Any idea when this CPU issue is going to be addressed? It’s definitely been awhile now, and I’m getting the feeling that a lot more attention is going toward new offerings than fixing the old ones.

Yeah, I’m getting less add-ons because of other add ons with other MPS and other special deals I’ve done in the past. In addition to RX9 Advanced and it’s additional algos over Standard, I’d be getting Exponential Symphony and Stratus, and the two additional PPS algos you mention. If I did spoken voice and music, I would definitely pull the trigger, but since I do only music, I’m a bit on the fence.

I hear ya man….but still must ask, even if lowest ever, is RX9 advanced $335 better than RX9 standard? I’m thinking I have everything else in that bundle already, but may have missed something. ?

I do not think this is just “any” political issue, as some have suggested. In addition to the humanitarian issues at stake, it is one sovereign nation launching a massive invasion of another, in an area of the world that was the origin of 2 world wars, …..which gratefully occurred before the vast majority of us on this forum were born. If there is a third, it will, in all likelihood be the last. I’m not sure I agree with ILocks’ position here (their customers include podcasters as well as musicians), but before we get up in arms about innocent Russians (and there are many of them ) having to replace an ilock plug-in with a non ilock plug-in), we should take a deep breath. Perhaps it would be a bigger artistic gift to them to support world efforts to end Putin’s totalitarian regime. Because make no mistake about it—artistic freedom does not exist in such societies .
