Not Cakewalk doing this, but your computer. It optimizes for best performances itself. You have to turn the option off manually in settings.

I used LE back in 2013 (Still have my disc.) Moved to platinum, now Cakewalk by Bandlab. It will be the best musical move you'll make.

It's the same thing! Scroll to be restricted to the last clip in the project. On "SCROLLING" alone. added space will be added for copy and paste or drag and drop/paste.

I get what you're saying. You want a Sampler Editor. It's been requested many times. Hopefully: Dont know if it has been picked up by the team. Maybe in the near future. For now there's alternative free plugins, Sitala (Decomposer) TX16W Grace Sampler sforzando DrBeat Google each one.

I was actually thinking about this the other day working on a project for a client. The cherry on this would be if it's done in a dynamic waveform. Meaning: if you tweak the velocity, pitch or volume - the waveform in the backgroud will follow this, to even out those spikes while in the PRV.

How would this be awful when every other DAW works this way? When zoomed in - scrolling in your DAW is suppose to work this way! When you have a project of 90bars, why do you want to view bar 92, when there are no more clips after Bar 90 of your project?

Request for a future feature to mute sends and busses when solo'ing a Track with command keys. Like linkPFsendMute Can we get a Command (as mentioned) to mute sends and busses when solo'ing a track too? Alt+Shift+clicking the solo button to solo every other track and sends link to them to solo that specific track. I know there are producers/mixing engineers that prefer this to be on, but like them - there are some of us that prefer the sends and busses to mute when solo'ing a track. Let's cater for both workflows.

Cakewalk is already moving away from Windows 7 due to demands that Windows 10 brings with running applications on it's platform and updates to Win7 not being available anymore (Discontinued.) This means software developers have to move in the direction Microsoft takes them. Most newer installations don't support Windows 7 anymore. You need to set your sample rate in windows the same with that of your interface. 16bit/44.1khz or 24bit/48khz Read here Make sure to uninstall ASIO4ALL from the computer completely. M-Audio comes with it's own Asio drivers and it way better than Asio4all that cause issues with every interface drivers. Also make sure to update your laptops usb drivers.

Have you tried changing your sample rates to 16bit? Also change the buffer size of the 18i8 higher. 512 or 1024 should do the job in X3.
