  1. Boy, playing the PA voucher game is a Rubix Cube. And I "get" it.

So using the $25 voucher puts SPL+ at $24.
Can't apply both discounts, and why would we expect them to "give it away"?

    Question: @cclarry et al

    I have SPL, do I NEED SPL+ ?
or am I sitting here because I thought I could score Plus for $5?

  2. I had a weird deal 20 years ago. The dial tone was different, like a high pass filter, left to right.
I think it was the right ear was like an octave higher in pitch.
The ENT I saw gave me with a "puzzled" look and a steroid prescription(anti inflammatory).
It "cleared" up, because of, or in spite of the treatment; who knows.

The right ear did take a beating about 45 years ago at an indoor pistol range,
but that's a different story and I don't want to hijack your thread...

    You're on the right track.

Many of us are of a "certain age" and hearing loss is just a fact of life; like it or not.

that upper midrange growly sparkle was also masking some other funky guitar elements at times..

Maybe a little side chain compression, can you side chain dynamic eq?

We’ve identified a problem, how do we “fix” it?

    MODO Bass

Which patch, I'm trying to "bond" with EZBass, but the tone here would work on my tune...

  5. I very much enjoyed this one! I listened to the "demo" first, and I think I enjoyed the final print more because I did.
Always interesting to get an insight into the creative process of others; so a big Thanks for that!

14 years is a pretty good run, so better to be thankful than depressed; and you've celebrated his life well here.
The worst thing a good dog does is get old on you; been there, done that, more than a few times...

This one took around 3 weeks to do soooo many years ago on a Tascam 688

I still miss my 688, it was a great piece of kit!

  7. I'm giving a slight edge to the "Vintage" mix.
I went back and listened to the old mixes on Band Lab (those are last years still?); the differences are pretty subtle.
Would I be able to pick the Vintage mix out in a double blind shootout; with my Golden Ears, you are kidding right? ?

Fine vocal here Gary, you've done yourself and Bing proud.
And the mix is lovely, so big ?'s here!

as I mentioned last year I don't think I have the big brass cajones necessary to take a run Bing.
    I guess you have...

  10. Much enjoyed this!
Any crits would just be picking fly shite out of pepper so speak.

OK, just hit the end, so I'm doubling back; I have one tincy incy little crit...

I'd end with a long fading note; just my nickel98's worth.

    t

I think I'm hearing the flute in this one better than in "Hope".
But again, my ears are a bit battered; some days are better than others.
I'd have to go back and compare.

  11. Nothing insignificant here at all; great track (I should say another great track) Bats!

My brother tells a story of a whitewater experience, he got dumped from the raft, and caught in a whirlpool.
    He could see the surface, but couldn't break the pull (this is a man who body-surfed the wedge all the time);
he was at the point of giving up and the whirl just puked him out.
    Not insignificant at all...
