  1. Listening on the phone and Bose cans today. Sounds good here. Verse 1&3 a little light on the vocal, but contrast well with the jump in intensity in 3 (and 4; right). So I would think all is as it should be. If sitting in the producer’s chair, there are some things I would want to try with the “Yes I will” Overall ? ‘s and ? t would have added a “like” over at SC, but for some reason SC hates my phone
  2. Presently on the road, limited time and internet access; but I will get to it! t lots of “Toms” on the forum. “Little t” is a moniker left over from my youth, I was “little t” until I was out of “knee pants”; but I was “t” to my father until the day he died.
  3. I ain’t superstitious, but a black cat cross my trail… bad luck ain’t got me so far, not gonna let it stop me now just sayin’ t
  4. Hey Ron, First let me say welcome to the forum (I should have done that already). My role here, at least as I see it, is to be something of a "cheerleader". Hand out a few "atta boys" and "listen"; offering when I can, what I hope is constructive crits. I mentioned "hearing the bass fine" to establish that the 990's were giving me a "decent" low end. I asked Ed (Bapu) to have a listen (that is a good one, and a hearty ?'s there! no sarcasm intended... and by placing the @ sign in front of his name he received a "heads up") because this is much more in his wheelhouse than mine. "How is my mix on your system" is a common question here, so "my ears, my cans" the bass is perfect, but the kick is a bit undefined. Is there some "masking" going on? Do you need to add a "sample" to amp up the kick? Not an uncommon practice; but I don't know. Its all about "translation", and all I can do is let you know what I'm hearing here, put that into perspective (tired 70 year old, tinnitus addled ears), and you have to take that info and weigh it against what you are hearing, in the mix and in feedback from others. So again, welcome to the forum, enjoyed the tune and look forward to more. t
  5. I'd push the vocal up a bit, other than that ?'s. t

    Scales

Tim I think the B3 is competing with the vocal a bit too much in the chorus. I get you are trying to "up" the energy, but its covering the vocal here on the DT990's. t
  7. Interesting story line on this on John. t
  8. This was done in Cakewalk? Well duh! Read the man's signature. mybad... Hope you are successful in your endeavor. t
  9. Your vocal is certainly true to the genre. On the DT990's here, I'm hearing the bass fine, the kick I hear the beater (or is it the pedal?). Mixing Metal is not in my wheelhouse, maybe @Bapu will chime in. I guess what I'm trying to say is that for me, the kick is not well defined (and a necessary part of the genre; right?) t
  10. Another "fallen thru the cracks". I enjoyed this Walt. been there, done that! t Walt, just a thought here, and not directed solely at you (a message for all who post, but rarely review) You might get a little more "traction" if you engage in "conversation" with the rest of the Songs community here. food for thought, just sayin'...
  11. This one has kind of "fallen thru the cracks". We'll pull it to the top of the page, and give the forum another chance. t maybe it could stand a couple of dB boost on the vocal; just sayin'...
  12. I'll hold my "like" for the re-mix... t
  13. Always a fan here. Am I amazed? Yep! Am I surprised? No, not really. As always, top shelf work; hoping for a 13th, 14th and 15th... t
  14. Andy, you've got the left hand working. Now we need a little right hand playing some melody. t
  15. What its gonna be? Pinky gets rubbed until he's blue. We shall fish on and not allow the dream crushers to destroy the dirt or the lilies! t that is all for now...

    Too Much

Polish it up. I'll hold my "like" for the new mix... t
  17. This is so very well crafted; so big ?'s. Caused some "introspection" here, and I suspect will for most who listen. t so this is where I intrude and offer what I hope will be taken as constructive crits. Meter, to me, is just as important as melody and lyric. so some suggestions you should take with a grain of salt... "and go on our own way" "You, were from an age when you couldn’t say" if I was producing, these are some minor changes, I think, would make the lyric "flow" a bit better. As I said above "very well crafted", so again, take it with a grain of salt...
