Reaper has a free trial period, which lasts for 60 days. After that it has a nag screen when you start it. It goes away after 5 seconds. Every thing works. Since the price is so low one would buy it eventually. I used it for a year before i bought it.

Some sites block direct links to their pictures. Then you have to download the picture and put it on an image hosting site and link from there.

iirc Reaper can use Cakewalk transfers.

@DSL It looks like you changed the arpeggiator settings. The track settings is in the left window. Under FX you have those three settings, Channel, Bank, Program, that currently is set to none. Change C-none to channel 6. I think...i haven't touched the daw for quite a while now. Makes me unsure of things.

Ok. My fault. I associate spdif with toslink. Coaxial is just digital signal for me without further clasification. With that difference i never have the kind of misunderstanding we have here.

S/PDIF and coaxial are two different connectors for digital signals. Coaxial uses digital signals thru metal threads. Even if it can use the same cables as analog audio the signal could not be used by analog gear. S/PDIF uses digitals signals converted to laserlight thru fiberoptics. No likeness to analog gear. Posts above was unclear about the difference and use. You can NOT connect a coaxial output to a S/PDIF input.

I think i have seen that before. It was because they where in a zipfile. You have to unzip first, if that's the case.

@IgoRr Well then. My guess would be about what has the focus for the time when you are saving. You're not saving what you think you're saving.

My Cakewalk start with the "basic" template. Empty. I then open one of the saved projects in my list and continue to work on that. I seldom remember to close the "basic" template so it still is there in the background. I then save the work in the open project and close Cakewalk with the "X" exit button. The save question come up and i say no. When i start Cakewalk next time and open the project i was working on it have saved the things i told it to save. First times the save scenario happen it had me wondering why. Because i knew i had saved my project that i worked on. I now get it that it has to do with my start template window. Even without doing anything in it, it ask me if i want to save it. It obvious has to do with the template turning itself into a project just by being opened. I like to look at a track view with something in it on start so i keep saying no to saving the hidden empty project. ?

Google gives: Musiclabs Rhytm.n.chords. That plugin is no longer available. Seems it some sort of blend with an arpeggiator, step sequenser and midi patterns for guitarchords. The lack of a guitar instrument and chord patterns make an adaption impossible because the bass instrument doesn't have chords. The TS have to find a third party plugin.

Could there have been a power outage? USB devices don't like to be disconnected. That led me to the question.
