At the top of the forum there's three tabs. In the middle one "Cakewalk by Bandlab" you have the " reference guide pdf". It's kind of the manual for Cakewalk. About the "Ultra Simple" workspace setting. I think it must be a user made workspace. Because you still can take away things from the view when you use the "basic" workspace. You are free to make your own workspace with only the things that you want to see in the display and name that workspace to whatever you feel like. Maybe you name it "Ultra Simple".

Lets say you start with a track that have Instacomposer. It have 5 miditracks which can have its own channel. Insert or drag the instrumentX you want to control with the midi to a new track in the project. Check/set what channel the InstaC use for the miditrack. In instrumentX input you'll see InstaC and can select what channel to take the input from. Repeat for instrumentA,B,C,D.

What happened with the GIVEAWAY mentioned earlier in the thread? How do we know there is a giveaway if the winners is anonymous.

But she is nice to have as a company...you're not alone.

I hear you. My "basic" template icon suddenly disappeared and my first and only attempt to get it back failed. Right now my thoughts are to wait and only fix it when i make a decent song. Like blackmailing myself. ? There's a chance it will never be fixed. ?

He did say that Ample Sound has it for the Chinese instrument series only, which is true.

Good to know. I have refrained to reply if i found out it was for Kontakt and didn't mention that in the post. Assumed it was offending.

@Mark Mitchell There's an option to change "Base Octave for Pitches" that's good to be aware of. Edit -> Preferences -> Customization -> Display. Right at the bottom is "Base Octave for Pitches". //Base Octave for Pitches. There is no industry standard for numbering octaves. By default, Cakewalk calls MIDI note 0 (the lowest possible note) C0. The Yamaha FB-01, for example, shows MIDI note 0 as C-2 (C negative 2). To match Cakewalk to that standard, set Base Octave to –2.//

You forgot something... No worries. I got the code too. The code for day 3: SPOOKY2999

^^^^ I wrongly assumed that you had plugged in your headphone to Tascam phone output. Please do that. There's adapters to buy, making the little plug a bigger plug to fit the phono contact.
-
You have action in the track and can listen on the headphone output. Then you can record your play. To listen to the recorded track you have to select Tascam as the output in the master track. The monitormix knob should point to the computer position. The input position gives you the sound before it goes in to the computer.

I read about Thorn plugin on KVR and got interested. It was some months ago and the prize was offputting. Especially since it's old and probably not maintained much. ? Now here i got this 200 euro plugin for 30 euro. Sweeeet. ?

That will give you the whole pages with lot of shit you don't need. I'll stand by my approach, it's better.

Piano 6 gigs! Thanks for the info. I'll pass on this engine as well. I really should concentrate on plugins i have and make something from that. ?

I wonder if it is their recording that's clipping? I don't like the screaching tail of notes in middle and high octaves.

I saw a request for bookmarks in the General Music Discussion. That got me to think of all those times i copied a couple of post to text. With info that was new to me and i thought i would need in the future. Does this board from Invision Community have something like "download as pdf" in its settings? It would be practical to have it besides "Start new topic" "Reply to this topic" upper right when you have opened a topic.

I wondered what happened to her. Kate Bush - The Man I Love

Those numbers is not bars. It's more like beats. Maybe you could continue by starting a new thread in the instrument&effects forum?

^^^^ I got the feeling that Ctrl & Shift was aimed for use with the browser and dragging the files to the track.
-
Is the folder your recorded file is directed to write protected or needs admin rights?

Depending of the instrument playing the bass i go one octave step up or down to get the best sound.

Maybe this about adding successive clips could help.
