Maybe doing it as a merge. Project menu - merge - select two of the open projects - voila.

Due to a question in a FB group of CbB users i tested how this worked. I used a basic project which already had an empty audio track, an empty miditrack and a softsynth track. Added 5 empty audiotracks and selected only those 5 tracks. Using shift i could drag to make the track hight bigger. This only affected all those tracks and not the unselected tracks. Fyi nothing happens before you release the mouse button. When i tried to change the scale of the selected tracks i wasn't able to do it. Not with ctrl or alt either. Seems to me that it would be logical to be able to use the shift key to alter the scale for selected tracks.

Check out matrix view. I'm not sure but maybe it could be used as pads with the right settings.

If you use the menu option the notification pops up. On it there's a tab saying update. Click on that and the assistant starts. Just did that. Had to close CbB to do the update.
-
I also got the update notification when opening CbB. Look in preferences / display. Maybe the "show notifications" is unchecked.

Did you forget to bounce the clip after silence removal?

Serious vulnerability in Windows 7 / Google Chrome
Kurre replied to msmcleod's topic in The Coffee House
Got tired of chrome putting pressure on my cpu and make my pc fans speed up and sound like a jetplane for long periods. Renamed a file and that worked for a day until chrome magically renamed it back. Now i'm using Firefox. Nice, quiet and adfree. Imported bookmarks and saved passwords from chrome and a little bit to my surprise Firefox have no problems logging in to my sites or viewing videos and listening to audio. I highly recommend Firefox. PS. Hm..it seems i remember it wrong. You probably can't import/export passwords. -
When this came in 1972 i was blown away. Still get emotional by it.

It could be Windows update/scanning/defrag doing something in the background.

I would call it a region.

I have a "good organisation and/or a touch of OCD" but still have to look for my keys and find them in the fridge. So...i start a search with the logical but rapidly change over to the absurd places where it shouldn't be.

It looks a little like my first try with the first Cakewalk by Bandlab. When i repeated everything a second time (with a new account) i noticed an email from the Bandlab account that i had to read and start the activation on the account. That got it working. It probably sent an activation email in the first try but i never saw it. If people still need to activate the account start a new or find out how to send a second activation email.

Raise up your hands if you feel comfortable with open the registry and change things there? I actually do change in the registry but i don't think the majority would do that.

I changed my useraccount on my CbB pc. From a windows live account to a local account but still admin. It seems i got a relatively new set of registersettings for my new user. I have no idea what good it can do. Just produce ideas. PS. About that HD audio. Forgot to tell that i did two things. 1. Uninstalled. 2. Went into Bios and disabled onboard sound. In the old days of win 95/98 it wasn't that unusual to have to do that when you added a pci soundcard. Maybe it's a ghost from the past.

Lets play with the thought of CbB having a function that gives a notification (non stoppable) when it's time to update/authorize. You attach a usb memorystick and CbB writes some ID code thats specific for that instance. It notifies when it's done and you take it to a pc that have internet access. It also have a little Bandlab assistant on it that connects to your server and downloads a new authorisation code and update code (if there is one). Then take it back and plug it in and start authorisation and update procedure. To use usb would be an extra option for those needing it. To connect a win10 to internet could mean hours of troubleshooting because it forces your pc to update and it probably would do so before you're able to connect to Bandlab. With usb method you avoid that. It would also tell you on Bandlab roughly how many of the users have CbB online. If i where at the company, i would like to know that for future development.

Well... sure. But Windows is Windows and sometimes usb-ports stop to respond. Then you have to switch port to get Windows to load its usb drivers and work again.

Maybe contact this guy and see if he is interested in a collaboration. https://github.com/dozius/DtBlkFx

You could do this: Add a track with TTS-1 or any other softsynth. Highlight all your miditracks by leftclicking on the track number and drag your mouse over the rest of the miditracks numbers. As they are highlighted hold down ctrl and choose your softsynth in the output list of one miditrack. That will change all of the outputs. And you're ready to go.

If i use the browser and drag midi in to the track. Would that be importing or opening the midifile?

It seems Tascam don't like Realtek HD audio. Try to uninstall it. Just disable probably don't work. Sorry, but i don't dl unknown content so this is an general tip.

Mark. It's too little data available so all we can do is guessing. So...here's my guess. I would start by, in the tracks control bar, open view menu and check the display alternatives. Most of them should be checked and the important one is "display clip contents". Then i should go to preferences and doublecheck my audio in and outs.

Are you able to import ANY audiosample?
