  1. It isn't necessary to do that... ...I've heard.?
  2. It seems i could beat you to it. Scroll vertical to track - scroll horizontal and i know where to go in my track. Done. But...i don't, so far, go back. I don't archive projects. Either i'm happy with it or don't waste time on a losing battle. I suppose i too could forget the build of some old track i had archived for years. I'm not opposing the proposal, just letting my opinion be known.
  3. Ok. That's not my workflow. Music is when i can be impulsive and disorganized. I'm not going to change that. ?
  4. I also don' get it. But for another reason. ? How is it a help to rapidly go to a section on a track when you have 30 or more tracks?
  5. Hmm...if we are talking live performence it would be slice to matrix, i think.
  6. Hmm...if there isn't already, maybe have it in process menu. Drag the audio in to the track. Highlight it. Go to the process menu and select slice. Choose how many slices and start process. Or choose marker mode in process/slice and put markers manually where you want the cuts to be. Should be in scrub mode when putting markers.
  7. My guess is that it have to do with the acoustics of the recording place. Experiment with that ir thing that i read about. It's more than likely that the recording studios were different from modern studios in material, size and damping methods.
  8. Was the fresh install from a disk image of the whole computer?
  9. Ohh..another thing. That little heart down to the right is for emojis. You use them when you want to thank someone but have nothing to add to the topic.
  10. It's perfectly ok to use the qoute to make a new post. It's preferred when there's many post in a topic and you want to be shure that your answer is read and reacted to by the right user.
  11. That “Answer this question" is misleading. It should really be named "make a new post".
  12. Sorry. I have now checked and wasn't aware of the fact that such an project couldn't be opened in a software that's been developed for 30 years. Personally i would put the project file on a usb and find me a pc with 96khz soundcard. Install CbB. Open the project and separate the midi and audio in that way.
  13. In the project. Select only the miditracks. Export as midi. 96khz to 48khz is called downsampling. Audacity is one of many programs that can help with that. Just be careful in Audacity. After downsampling you have to change the project rate at the bottom left to the new rate before you export it to wav.
  14. I have tried TAL - NoiseMaker and TAL - Elek7ro. Good sounds. Maybe it's just me but i found TAL - Elek7ro to be a bit unstable. If i remember correctly i got hung notes sometimes. I still use/have installed TAL - NoiseMaker.
  15. Read up on lenses, screensets and mix recall.
  16. Are you sure there is a pocket? Couldn't it be a smudge.
  17. I have seen a user describe it as humdrum.
  18. In the kvraudio forum a user said he had a confirmation of an upcoming update which had midi/audio export and some other new things.
  19. Ok. The webpage can be interpreted in two ways. In such cases i stay away. But good job to let us know about a freebie.
  20. The free version has 550 presets. You have to buy an upgrade bundle to get the rest of the presets.
  21. His drums "Adam Monroes beats" is good sounding. I can recommend them. I went for the Tremelo and stumbled upon this. There was this style that i think was called 80's classic rock. It made me nostalgic. It was the perfect imitation of the sound from my youth.?
  22. The site probably does something bad with the underlying code. Or letting others... My Firefox can not navigate the site. A couple of days ago i used the link in the first post. It didn't matter what i clicked on, it always reopened the start page. Today i tested the link in the second post. It opened to a hardware synth. It didn't matter what i then clicked on, it always reopened the hardware synth page. I then tried the link in the first post...it was not the sites start page...it was the hardware synth page.? It's no biggie, i was just curious about the sites offerings.

    SI Suite/Jamstix 4

This is pure theoretical because i couldn't get it to work but i read a manual about Jamstix. Jamstix follow your timeline/tracks. It's a vst instrument. It should open 4 or more tracks for its output. One would probably start by recording a song with a softsynth/instrument on one or more tracks. Next select a basic style in JS then play them together. JS should adjust itself to your songs tempo. Next make changes to JS song sheet. You add, edit or change parts to your liking. When there is drums for the whole song you can also choose to drag the drums, as midi, over to a track. You do that by clicking on the song name, not the part, and drag it over to a miditrack.
  24. That plugin-boutiqe mishap lead to finding it elsewhere. Instead two plugins for 18 £ i got those two plus additional two for 15 £. Thanks invisible friend.
  25. I had problems with the synth "Codex". First it worked. Then it disappeared. Then there where errors with the scan at startup. I took note of what the error message was and moved that particular shell out of that folder to a temp folder in my documents folder. It was a test and i could move it back if it wouldn't work. But it worked and i hadn't errors any longer. I now had a synth that didn't showed up and another synth "Flow Motion" that bogged down project starts. For every instance of the synth in the project it would add approx 7 seconds to the start of the project. Three FM's in the project made me wait 21 seconds to have the project loaded. I have a bunch of other stuff from Waves but it was only the synths that caused me problems so i did a cleanup. I moved the two synths to an USB with installer and license. I moved the rest of the licenses to the cloud. Uninstalled all waves plugins and then checked folders to delete everything that wasn't associated with the controlcenter. Reinstalled all plugins, not the synths, and moved the licenses back to my pc. Now it's a smooth ride again. ?
