[CLOSED] Cakewalk 2020.07 Early Access
Xoo replied to Morten Saether's topic in Early Access Program
There is some logic: in Track View, the assumption is that the default selection is via time, so left drag does time selection and right drag does clip (touch) selection. This trickles down to other views. But I do agree in principle that left-drag should be select (and right click properties) by default, as these are Windows standards. -
I get it going to a Laney amp...I'd prefer the page of code ?

I'm finally(!) happy with my Tungsten-derived theme. I've tried to solve 2 problems: the first is the darkness of the PRV in most themes, and the second is the issue with some colours being defined on the colour preferences screen, not in the theme, so you can "break" a theme by using the wrong colours (eg. clip foreground and background). With the latter in mind, I've additionally created a colour scheme that goes with the theme and provide both below: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ckac3nyjvme99w2/Tungsten%2B.clr?dl=1 https://www.dropbox.com/s/2feutyn3a0snfix/Tungsten%2B.sth?dl=1 And in all its glory(?):

crossfade Bug: Crossfades prevent clip splitting
Xoo replied to Josh Wolfer's topic in Feedback Loop
It's actually more subtle than that ? It's broken if and only if auto crossfade is enabled - disable that option and you can split on a fade. -
crossfade Bug: Crossfades prevent clip splitting
Xoo replied to Josh Wolfer's topic in Feedback Loop
Right click and split does work, but it's an extra OK to click on. Otherwise, confirmed. And a reversion (ie. bug) compared with the last version of SONAR Platinum. -
Except Square I was a VST , so if you point your VST scan (ie. add a folder) to the Square I folder and scan, it'll get picked up and bridged (and I use it and it seems to do so fine, although no guarantees!).
-
Sorry - misread! You can install 32 bit X3 of course if you want to. Like you, I've got some projects that were created in 32 bit SONAR and I want to revisit/complete (ideally in CbB), but some of the plug-ins don't exist in the 64 bit world, so migration doesn't work. What I've been doing is re-opening in 32 bit SONAR, even if some plug-ins are missing, and then replacing just the not-64-bit ones with as close an equivalent as I can (it was reverbs last night). And saving under a different name of course ?
-
What sort of issues? And why can't you keep X3 on the machine (32 bit) and use that to complete old projects?
-
Have you been updated to Windows 10 build 2004?
-
Great video - I just wish my CbB behaved like his does (cursor keys and enter don't do that for me). My bad - had missed one vital step ?

And while we're at it...replace synth on right click in synth rack!
-
Ctrl-D duplicates so does the copy and paste grunt work for you.
-
At least some MOTU ASIO drivers set the MMCSS priority (and don't give you control) so I'd say it's arguable that it's a "misinterepration" if multiple hardware manufacturers do this (I think RME do too, or at least provide an option?).
-
Thanks for the theme really - it's excellent (despite my couple of whinges :-)). Shout if you want other info.
-
And I think the following are what I've changed in Preferences: Category: Piano Roll View Beat Rules - 0 128 255 (RGB) Grid Rules - 192 192 192 Major Rules - 0 0 160
-
I've PM'd you a Dropbox link for the 3 png's.
-
They should be (I attached the exported png) but I'll pop them on my dropbox anyway for you later. I'll look in Preferences\Colors and see what I've set...it was a long time ago and it may take me some time ?

How to True Stereo Pan NOT just balancing
Xoo replied to Roland-Music's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
All very well until you want to compress (say) - that becomes trickier (or you do it in a bus/aux track downstream). -
I do too...that doesn't mean I can remember the name of it ?
-
And attached are my 3 updated FX images. To "fix" the red issue I see, all I did was change the "Bypassed FX Name" coluur value to be the same as the "FX Name" colour you'd already chosen (C7CDDC). Looks perfect to me now.
-
This is what PRV looks like when white (all other things being equal): The grid lines are the same colours and look "balanced" for want of a better word.
-
I did wonder if they were non-theme but didn't have time to check. On a white background, they look good, on a dark one, not so much. Very annoying that some things aren't themed (the track colours being the most annoying!). What I've done for the FX widgets is to export your images as png's and drop their transparency to about 60%. The green then looks marvelous, the red doesn't, so I need to look at that. When I've got some that work, I'll pop them on this thread so you can take a look and see what you think.

Thanks - I couldn't remember which MFX it was!
