  1. So I've been working with two class compliant devices connected to Cakewalk for the last couple days, according to this topic: To make things more easy I created a template where I have the master bus routed to one device, the ART in particular, and then created a send to an additional bus that I routed to the Shure output. Except the issues mentioned in the topic above, everything was working as expected since day one. Well, I have to admit, somedays the WDM driver is making trouble for example is loading with an arbitrary latency as high as 4096 samples where I can do nothing but restart windows to bring it back to around 600 samples where it behaves quite acceptable. Also the recorded tracks are usually with added different latency, depending on day, sometimes it's barely noticeable and sometimes it's clearly hundreds of milliseconds. But that's all manageable later while editing. The problem with output changes arose today. Until now there was no problems when working with the two devices simultaneously, I was plugging in the USB mic, done the records, switch off pc and unplug the mic to make the edits later with just the ART interface left connected. Today when I opened project that I saved yesterday, Cakewalk told me that Master bus is assigned to a silent hardware output. While checking I discovered that the additional bus I created and routed to Shure is now assigned to ART, and Master bus is going to -none-. Normally Master bus would go to ART as it did until now, and the additional Shure bus would go silent if I unplugged the mic. It seems the two outputs literally swapped in their places. Cakewalk even remembers the friendly names I had given, it just swapped both outputs, nothing else. I also checked and exactly the same happens in every project I created since last week and in the template as well. Anybody has an idea what is going on here?
  2. Thanks for this. The version I already had installed (from a few years ago) has the same version number. You have to hover the mouse over the Hybrid 3 logo bottom left for anyone who wants to know. Yes, this is the previous version 3.0.7 that I had. I didn't install 2020 update yet, so since the main number "3.0.7" is the same I'd expect the update differs in the last "19000" bit but would need somebody else to confirm. Or maybe I'll install the update later this week.
  3. When I check on the Hybrid gui, it does say version 3.0.7.19000. If someone installed the updates may want to check if the last bit is different. Could be very tiny update lol.
  4. Hmm interesting, inside "Hybrid2020_Setup.zip" I've found "Hybrid_3.0.7_Setup.exe" In "MiniGrand2020Setup.zip" there's "Mini Grand_1.2.7_Setup" folder with "Mini Grand_1.2.7_Setup.exe" in it. And similarly in "Velvet2020Setup.zip" is folder "Velvet_2.0.7_Setup" with "Velvet_2.0.7_Setup.exe" setup files. I think that's all the same versions I already have installed. What gives?
  5. Bank Switching CCs: CC0 and CC32 + Program change, IIRC. make it appear in the event list one after another and it should work as expected, refer to your synth's midi implementation manual what numbers exactly to use please correct me if I'm wrong but: CC0 data 0 and CC32 data 0-127 are bank 0-127 CC0 data 1 and CC32 data 0-127 are bank 128-255 and so on...
  6. That's exactly what I'm going for this year. I plan on doing lot's of soul/gospel/funk stuff and this should fit perfectly.
  7. I don't remember the details already but long time back in my MIDI era I had been using MSB/LSB bank control change messages to freely set any bank I want anywhere in the event list. I took typically 2 or 3 consecutive cc messages plus pc at the end to get me there. Similar like with the RPN/NRPN bank plus data changes by making series of cc events.
  8. That's exactly what I wished we could have backed in the channel strip as an alternative to the "inferior" pan pot, and not having to make it ourself . Great writing from Craig. Btw I've just spotted that if I have both assignable controls and Channel Tools gui visible, moving assignable control does update plugin gui but moving controls on plugin gui does not update assignable controls correctly.
  9. I always wished that the Channel Tools could be somehow implemented into Cakewalk's channel strip. Make it a "preferences"/"advanced"/etc. button nearby the pan pot that will expand it to the floating Channel Tools for example, sort of what we can do when expanding the QuadCurve EQ in PC.
  10. I would think that making MIDI in Bandlab and in Cakewalk sound compatible (or not) would be up to the user. Actually, since it's MIDI I think it *should* be left as is and let the user decide how it's interpreted afterwards, but I appreciate any efforts in making it more "user friendly". Especially for the entry users.
  11. Shame, for $4,99 it seems very interesting and I certainly would buy it, but I can't even open MF website like others because of geo blocking
  12. oh, thanks Fleer, interesting reading indeed, some more-less exciting info among the news well I have only 2 of their silver libraries so I don't reserve much hope in benefitting from the upgrade for myself but good to hear anyway
  13. Any more info on what is to be updated/expected?
  14. I've experienced glitches in a project with virtual synth where there was tempo changes. The tempo changes caused this synth's internal delay to produce the glitches, at least that's what I believed. It was u-he Podolski btw. Didn't check it myself but might be worth trying to temporarily delete meter/key changes and see if it helps. Or bypass the effects.
  15. There is no audio demo on the website. Anybody using it and could share opinion?
  16. I have the same with T-Racks 5 plugins when I enlarge them, sometimes it's graphics is crisp clear another time blurred. But I didn't think it's the same issue as the one being talked in this thread.
  17. I've read good things about PC Concrete Limiter for bass tracks. Would love to see it available again.
  18. I've got it years ago in another giveaway and never used it so I should probably not need it, but since it happened that I have two accounts on their website, and they want me to pay extra for WUP to be able to install on two computers and I'm not going to do it, I thought now I'll redeem twice every of their giveaway starting today. Once they come back to their senses I'll consider merging the accounts because I don't really need two.
  19. ^^^THIS is DEFINITELY the way to go if it will work! And if it doesn't, it's only $10 more get there! well... $10 is so much I have for this deal
  20. That would be a heck of a deal.
  21. Speaking of a tunnel... you may have landed in a wormhole for a while as well but if it didn't take you, at the other end, to their "Free Stuff" where you can find the VST version easily, then you might actually have landed in a different wormhole than me...
  22. Too bad, I'm from EU thanks Larry
  23. I was thinking about getting the license code but they want to ship a package instead, it seems...?
  24. Do you use sidechaining in your project? I started getting crashes if I try to load T-Racks 5 suite into project, it started right after I created few sidechain sends with sonitus comp. Cakewalk 2020.04. I would hope for a progress but will wait until finish the project.
