Just a quick one. How do i know I am using a Track or Project template? is the 'home' screen a project template for example?

I also find it interesting that we all have different hearing. And pick up different frequencies to each other. How then can we be trusted to mix and master when its our hearing that it is created for and not the masses? ?

Thank you and yes I noticed the slap and slide sounds. Where would i adjust the velocity for example from 118 t o110 as you mention as mine only goes to 100%

Sorry John when i said fretless bass I meant to say fingered bass -thats the sound I am trying to emulate. is that possible with the P Bass?

I couldnt get the Ample P Bass Lite to work for some reason. Downloaded it a couple of times but no sound at all. I use the Ample Guitar no problem. EDIT: I just got it to work. Do you know if there is there only one preset that comes with the free version or are there more hidden deep in the files that came with it? And do yo have any hints to get a decent sound from it? Thank you

Hi John -when you say dial in better sounds can you elaborate. Or do you mean from the drop down list in the softsynth? I am looking for a good fretless sound but wasnt happy with the preset in SI Bass. Thanks

Might I need to delete the TTS1 from the original project first or will it be subsumed into the new project?

Thanks for that Nigel. Although its a shame am also glad its not something wrong with my project. Might be a bit tricky to remedy it now. Do you know if there is there another way of doing this? Edit. I think I know the answer. Create a new project with one track in it. Add the TTS1 then copy the midi into the track and bounce it to a wav file then import that into the original project.

I have about 15 tracks in a project, mainly audio with lots of effects and softsynth drums and SI bass. Everything fine. No lags, no dropouts. The project is rock solid stable. an dplays everytime. I removed the SI Bass and replaced it with the TTS1 Fingered Bass and all I get is fatal errors everytime I attempt to play the track even when it is solo'd. Any ideas?

I used to love the manuals. Made great bedtime reading -when you finally got to bed that is!

I just wish Focusrite had alerted me to the VG Iron freebie. I had been very curious about it and now feel its a useful tool even just for getting ideas down and writing a score - if you are a guitarist you can then play what you have assembled. I wrote to F'Rite but got no joy (not that I expected to).

Hi - when you say you downloaded it for free is it a demo version or the full working copy as I have Focusrite Scarlett(s) and havent seen this before?

I missed that one completely Nigel; the gain level of the source track was set slightly higher. ?

I have tried bouncing these drums (SSD5) to an audio track singly (i.e. split) and as a full kit and the results are the same. i.e. a lower quality sound (dull/tinny almost) and lower volume than the original softsynth sound which is in my opinion very good. I have had no problems with bouncing to tracks with other instruments and wondered if there was something fundamental I was missing or might have overlooked.

Hi Bill - any advice on using the PX64? I havent looked at it yet so wondered what positives you have taken from it.

As an aside its amusing to hear mention of 'dated' plugins. In 30 years time we will be hunting high and low for them just like some do for analogue tape processors and copycat echo simulators:-)

Good to hear User 905133. I had to give up on it. I ended up using the TTS1 Bass which to be honest probably suited my needs better. I will still try the SI Bass on future projects though to see if i can get to the bottom of this. Thanks for everyone's input.
