My aim is simply to import a video and then attach an audio file to it. No complicated cutting and pasting or timeline issues. Just simply lining one up against the other then exporting it to a video file that I can upload to youtube. Before exporting I click Edit-Select-All. Then I have chosen to save as two different file types - 1) a youtube (WMV) file then 2) an MP4 file. Whilst exporting i see the message that audio then video is being exported. Either the resultant file does not play the audio or the file does not play at all. Is there something fundamental I may have overlooked?

Thanks. I presume the auto crossfade only works for audio clips? -
Solved - Split a clip and then select the right side?
brandon replied to JonnyHeyhey's question in Q&A
I was wondering what the association with auto crossfades had to splitting clips - is it to face in/out where the actual split occurred? And do you suggest a 25ms cross fade? Thanks -

And also what are 'auto crossfade comps'? Many thanks -
Solved - Split a clip and then select the right side?
brandon replied to JonnyHeyhey's question in Q&A
Hi Scook I noticed from your link that there is also an option 'when splitting clips in groups, create new groups' . Does this mean that say I highlight every track and then perform a split all of the split sections of the tracks can be moved together should i wish to do so? -
About muilt Audio output of (SI) built in Instrument

If there are many instances of the plug-ins does are they all at the same volume and pan settings or can they be independently controlled? Thanks -
Please correct me if I am wrong. The version of Melodyne that comes with CbB is Essential. I understand what this plugin can do. I do however have a few questions in relation to it. 1) If I don't immediately activate it I find that I cant open it in an FX bin on a track. Is this correct? 2) When I 'mark' a region of an audio track then highlight that track and click Region FX I can click on Melodyne which duly opens up but there is no audio in it. Have I done something wrong? 3) How long is the demo period for is it 30 days? 4) Is there a UK upgrade cost if I want to purchase it after the demo period is over? 5) Has anyone paid for the full version and is it worth doing? i.e. are you using it as much as you thought you would? 6) Finally, and this is the thing I am curious about... If I played 4 bars of acoustic guitar strumming a G chord could I copy those 4 bars but then raise or lower the pitch so that a different chord is played i.e. from a G to an A or a G to an F for example and construct a song simply by strumming one single chord? (I dont plan to do this by the way I am simply using this to gauge its capabilities). Thanks in advance to all Melodyne users.

I wonder why Cakewalk insists vst3 folder is in scan paths if theres nothing in there to scan. -
Slow it down, record fast guitar part, then speed it up?

I have downloaded a free version of Amplitube. The .dll file is saved among my other .dll files. And the VST3 file has been saved in the VST3 folder in programme files. Cakewalk does not recognise Amplitube when it scans. What I have deduced is if I remove the VST3 folder from the scan in preferences then Cakewalk finds Amplitube and loads it into the FX browser. However the next time I go to open preferences I find that the VST3 folder is back again. Is there any way I can stop the VST3 folder from being scanned? SOLVED. I deleted the VST3 file from the VST 3 folder and now it loads the VST 2 plug in.

I have submitted a help request to Amplitube. I may raise this in the Q&A forum on here too. -

Yes but only if i go into preferences and remove VST3 from the scan. When I rescan then Amplitube shows up and can be used. But if I close Cakewalk or another scan occurs then VST3 appears in the scan preferences again. -

Interesting. When I remove the VST 3 folder from the scan preferences the Amplitube FX shows up in the FX Browser. But when I open the preferences again the VST 3 folder is showing again. Any way I can get rid of it from the scanning process? -

Hi - the .dll is in program files/cakewalk/vst plugins along with a lot of other .dll files. the .vst3 file is in the vst 3 folder however this path is in the scan preferences and I cant remove it or rather I can remove it then when I go back to preferences its there again. Could this be part of the issue? And I meant FX browser not bin ? -

Hi I have downloaded it and its loaded into my VST folder but its not being picked up on a VST scan. Any tips? I removed the scanned VST folder from scan preferences. I then added it back and did a scan and the Amplitube vst was scanned but its still not showing in Cakewalk. -

Sounds too good to be true. How do you rate the 'package'? Are these full products or demos? -
