  1. This offer came out on July 25th but somehow never splashed on this forum.
If you own Sigmund 1 there is a coupon in your User Group area where you can pick up Sigmund 2 for $19 or 19 Eur.

D16 Group - Sigmund 2 is out now

Sigmund 2 - the High Quality Flexible Delay Unit - is far from just another delay. It provides an incredible degree of soundshaping freedom. Four indepenedent delay lines that can be arranged in several different topologies along the modulators that can affect internal delay lines parameters makes it powerful tool, which replicates practically any dynamics, waveshaping or modulation effect.
Get Sigmund 2 for 19 EUR
    and save over 80%

VST3 format added, multiple UI sizes, HiDPI support, 2 additional modulators, expanded content, & more.
More info on Sigmund 2 here: https://d16.pl/sigmund2

you'd want to check - i don't think the ilok dongles can be connected to 2 separate computers at the same time. but the second solution seems like a possibility as it's a switched solution vs simply extended.

I'm pretty sure that you're correct in that they can only connect to one device at a time.

But I wasn't thinking parallel connections but being able to dynamically switch between computers.  The Digi version implies in their docs/video that their management app lets you dynamically switch which computer gets assigned/connected to which USB port.

While I can picture how this might work I haven't had the time to dig enough to get the actual details.

The Amazon version is basically a USB Hub but the dongles can be up to 165ft(50m) away from the computer.

  3. I just became aware of this tech.  Haven't tried it out yet so don't know how good it will work but it looks intriguing.

$49 on Amazon - Get your dongles off your computer or desktop.  USB2.0
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D6MVCR6/ref=sspa_dk_hqp_detail_aax_0?

Or for a USB 3.1 solution (at a higher price point) with management/deployment options

  4. Yikes on the price but...
it sounds great and looks very versatile.

Possible competition for the Eventide H90 for top position on my wish list.
At some point I'll have to check it out, kind of get the feeling that POG3 might be better suited (at least for me) for guitar.
Though I sure either one would be great if you invest the time in learning how to truly utilize it.

Beautiful instrument.  Love the fret markers on the upper side of the neck.

Wonder if it's similar to this one...
    https://stradi.pl/basses/symphony-bass/stone/
Here’s a Symphony Stone bass with chambered samba body, ash top covered with stone (slate) and oak neck. Delano Xtender with Hipshot piezo bridge and Glockenklang preamp makes this bass truly sing! Weight is still very good – just a bit over 3kg

Would love to get one, but odds are similar to waking up and finding a new corvette in my driveway with my name on the papers.

     Yes.

I've been getting Error 500 messages for most of the last two days and that's by no means the first time in recent weeks that it is not possible to access it for hours at time. Other users have reported the same thing.  I have zero idea how these things work, but it seems to me that something has been changed.

    Meh...
This isn't the 1st time, nor the 2nd or even 3rd time this has happened and will no doubt happen again at some point.
Since I don't pay a subscription fee to access this forum nor am I blasted by ads when I do - I chill out, STFU and just try back later as the outages never really last that long.

Someone is paying to keep the lights on here and when it's you then by all means complain. Otherwise please consider how much acrimonious whining and complaining actually incentivizes someone providing a free service to keep providing it.

  7. So, I’m in a bar and two very
    large women with accents are
    sitting across from me.
I say, ’’Cool accents, are you
    two ladies from Scotland?”
One of them yells, “It’s Wales,
    you idiot.”
So I said, “OK, are you two
    Whales from Scotland?”
    I don’t remember much after
    that.

I didn't get the text because I opted out after my membership expired at the end of last year.
I just went to their website
    https://www.stewmac.com/stewmax-1-year-membership/
    I saw this:

    1-YEAR MEMBERSHIP
    REGULAR $59.95 NOW ONLY $29.98
LIMITED TIME OFFER ENDS JULY 30, 2024 @ 4:00PM ET

Don't know if this deal is only available to previous members (which I am) or everyone.
I definitely got my monies worth from my membership while I had it.

This deal is still active but not for long!

Picked up a new Fender Squire last year that had a crappy fret job (sharp ends, bending notes felt like I was grinding metal).
If I hadn't gotten it for such a killer price I would have returned it.
Picked up and used StewMac's Rough Fret Smooth + Shine Set
now the frets are smooth like butter.

If I look at their plugin updates though, as a Windows user I am really disappointed! The last 4 years they almost only worked for MacApple! Not that I am one of those that claim constant updates, no, I am happy if a plugin works as it should, but some of their older ones could gain with a larger UI (or resizing) and some need efficiency improvement!

PA is terrible at announcing their Windows updates.
I always reinstall the whole set at least once a year (or whenever I pick up a new one**) and when I do I find that most have been touched (newer file dates, different files sizes).
Use the Plugin Alliance Installation Manager and reinstall all your PA PC plugins - I just did that and noticed that a number of them were half the size of what I previously had.  Sorry I should have grabbed a screen shot - since I store my PA VST3s in a "PluginAlliance" subfolder (C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\PluginAlliance) I can see the differences between what I just installed and what I had, before I move the new ones over.
**BTW I did end up picking up U2A.

  12. I find it amusing how plugins that were salivated over and regarded as hot not that long ago appear to go out of fashion.
As the multitudes who desired them have acquired their fill (or burned out on offerings from a particular developer) they appear to either stop viewing related threads or stop contributing - what's left are often less than positive endorsements.

$29 is not a bad price; it may not be a nice as some of pricing combos we were able to manipulate in the past but it's not bad.  For items that rarely go on sale it's your chance to get forever $29 pricing.
I'm thinking of possible picking up NEOLD U2A. Don't really need yet another LA2A mutation, but still I'm considering it.

the new installer has missing instrument Micah's Choir as it was FREE as well before

    anyone knows why is missing?

The Spitfire Labs web pages associated with it have been removed.

Micah’s Choir is still on PianoBook
    https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/micahs-choir/
If you don't have or lost the Labs version you might want to grab a copy of the PianoBook version in case it goes AWOL at some point too.

Bandlab heavy handedly closing  that thread where @Bapu posted that he isn't interested in a subscription but wants a perpetual license and sought information from BandLab was disappointing, ending my perception that they are a company interested in listening to customers. That wasn’t the reaction of a customer-focused company.

I think Noel closed the thread because he just got tired hearing the same complaints and negativity ad infinitum.
Noel is well aware (and acknowledged) that many of us are not interested in a subscription model.
To what degree he has of influencing decisions in that matter I do not know.
