You can do that with proper beer cans after you've enjoyed the delicious contents. It's usually best not to try when they're still full. -

I can't agree with that. Beer cans are useful. They contain beer and aid in the transportation of beer from brewer to residence. Unless they meant American beer cans - hard to see what the point of those is. -
The browser is good - I like the optional eye candy, but the rest is just so dull. Even it's mother must struggle to love it.

I didn't buy into X1 or X2 mostly because they dropped the ability to make it dark - hated that drab grey everywhere - I bought X3 only because I was about to get Melodyne and Addictive Drums anyway, so that became a no brainer, but I still wasn't keen on the UI, but I stuck with it for the ARA integration. For the same reason I didn't bother with Platinum either until they made the dark option, which was pretty much how my custom 8.5 looked, so I was finally "home" again. Which is good, because the current theme editor is way too deep for me to be bothered with and the various user themes I have seen mostly prove that good theme design is harder than you might think. Now I find it hard to imagine how they could make it look better without ruining all the good stuff again, so I hope they don't even try.

Does this make it 25% less ugly??

I still have this one I figured that if I kept it long enough it might become worth something, but failing that it still looks like a thing that someone clever would have and gives me the perceived aura of someone who knows what he's doing. Either that or the aura of someone who keeps too much old crap for too long. I prefer the first one.

Given how well the official release of BA usually works I can't even imagine how bad an untested version would be.

TBH My initial comment was more to do with the TT customer experience rather than the product. I bought EZ keys way back when for the same reason but the truth is that I have never used it once the new toy smell wore off (didn't take long). With the improvements to the Omnisphere arp function that is also now part of Trilian it's pretty easy to quickly put down some pattern type thing to serve as a placeholder that can be edited or replaced afterwards once things develop. Whatever works best for the individual I guess, but for some time now I have found myself moving away from built-in midi patterns rather than towards them.

Just as well I don't post songs anymore then - Bapu would be killin' me every time with his bass sounds stale comments. ? I'm just happy to know that there is a plug-in that you don't own. Maybe there is still some hope for you.
-
Yep. Save your money and buy Trilian.

Shame that there's no demo version. Or maybe it's a good thing because I told myself last year that I was done buying guitar Vst's, so it makes it easier to pass.
-
To me it's more logical that way. Being right handed, if I were playing a guitar I would form the chord with my left hand and strum with the right, so it's the same as a guitar which makes more sense to me.

Bapu plugs his bass in for 10 minutes

I heard that he's all about the EZ bass these days. The stringed things are basically fancy firewood now. -
Save the project with a different name, remove whatever you don't want in it and work on that.

I've always wondered what the phrase "get bent copper" meant. Now I know.

In the case of a possible conflict with a day job then yes I could understand adopting a pseudonym for the moonlight gig, but in that scenario one could just say hi, I'm Joe Madeupname and these are my products....... Posing as a punter who just happened to chance across these products that they would like to share with you at more or less the same time as they joined the forum just comes across as disingenuous to me and very unlikely to make me want to give that person any money at all. Maybe that's not the case here, but it certainly smelled like it to me.

Oh, so you're curvophobic are you? You do realise that this is an all inclusive user forum with a zero tolerence policy of insensitivity towards other forms of monitor. Please buy a curved one immediately or the bend police will be paying you a visit.

That put me off straight away. Just gives the wrong vibe to me. If anyone is here to sell something, just be honest about it. Nothing wrong with that, but pretending to be someone/something else is a big turn off for me. From what little I saw of the products they seemed to be using the names of famous artists, so I wonder if he hit legal problems because of that.
-
So what's the problem?
-
Just the one? I'm so disappointed in you.... You'll never get all the plug-ins up on that.
-
Nothing there to make me want it. I get that presets are not the point of this kind of thing, but as a supposed showcase of what can be done with it the selection is somewhat lacking.

Swing and a miss for me and I'm going to call AAS and tell them as soon as I figure out how to make the call on this new phone that I just bought........
