By saying v3 I meant the version number of the various AAS synths not the VST3 version of that synth, but you may also be right, I haven't looked into that.
-
It might be a good idea to rephrase that.
-
Yeah, same here. Not so much with strum but since the v3's were introduced it has been known for inserting one of those (or using to replace another) to cause a crash for me. Not so often that it's a major league PITA, but I do always make sure to save right before inserting the v3's just in case.

You're only really in trouble if the banjos start looking like a good idea. If that happens, run away.

It already is.... Oh wait, I thought you said unclear. As you were then...... Whatever that is. I have no idea. But FWIW............ Whatever IT is......... It weren't me. 'Cuz I dint do anyfink. Mrs Paulo will vouch for that. She sez I never do anyfink. I do things sometimes But I didn't do whatever this is. I asked Meatloaf if he did it He said he does a lot of things But he won't do that. Yesterday, he said that Mrs Meatloaf asked him to put out the trash, wash the car and tidy the garden. He didn't do the car. Mrs M wasn't happy. But Meat said 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

I have 4 AIR synths and paid next to nothing for all of them combined, so while the browsers could be easier on the eye in some cases, the close to zero prices suggested to me that I shouldn't expect much in terms of updates, so I don't. Now, if I'd paid what PIB and the likes sometimes claim to be the "before sale" price that might be different, but I doubt there are many of those people, at least in recent years.

Autosave? I never use it myself, but some do. True, but in CW you can always still open them. According to what I read about SO5 you can't. I don't know if that is true or not as I haven't tried it myself, I was just trying to offer what might turn out to be a useful heads up to others. Using a copy (as I already said) is always the smart thing to do, but we've all seen those threads where x has ruined a project and the OP goes strangely quiet when asked about their back-up copy.
-
For anyone considering demoing this upgrade I read somewhere that if you're not careful you can end up being locked out of your projects - ie once opened in 5 you will no longer open them in your v3 for example. No idea if that is true or not and can't remember where I read it now, probably here somewhere, but just in case it might be an idea to only try it on a copy of your project so you still have the original if this is true.

The updates are of no use to me, but good to know that they are still alive in some way I guess. I do sometimes use Xpand2! for it's pad layers when I just want something quick and Loom has made it onto a few finished* versions. * They're never really finished are they ? ?

Is that why people say that bass players usually have little organs ? I always wondered what that meant.
-
I read it on one of those www fact checker sites, so it must be true. Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but he's not even a CW user. I have it on good authority that he's into Studio One 666.

It's the midi connector for his EZAlembic plug-in.

Ideal length of a bass solo - where does it fit on this scale?

Wow. Every day really is a school day. I had no idea that was where they came from. -
This presentation was brought to you by the manufacturers of Motorbike Ashtray™. Tune in next week to see an exclusive video of how many sore throat lozenges they managed to fit inside a child's bicycle tyre.

The only time I looked (when it seemed that it might be able to both open and play .cwp files) Reaper could be made to look ok, via themes, but the menus were terrible, almost as if the makers had never considered that a user might need to find something at some point. Never seriously looked at the other two, but yeah if Bitwig was on a dating site, it would be probably be described as fun and cuddly with GSOH.

Fleer feeling very conflicted right now. His King has spoken, yet.................

I'm guessing probably about as long as that website has been needing an upgrade.
