  1. Imagine the depth of poor mother Strummer's disappointment that the apple of her eye not only spends entire days sniffing his own farts, but then takes to the internet to describe them to strangers.?
  2. I thought it was probably just because he wore them all the time, lived outside and didn't have a washing machine. I'm not sure what that says about the way your mind works.
  3. There's an awful lot more to Amazon than shopping. Make sure that you don't talk about it in front of Alexa though.
  4. Thanks. I regret not jumping on the AL4 upgrade when I had the chance. V5 seems to offer a lot less.
  5. What's the difference between Lite & Intro?
  6. There's a German (I think) supermarket over here that sells a lot of stuff you wouldn't expect to find alongside tins of beans and such. In the center aisle you'll find stuff like unknown brand lawnmowers, patio furniture and tools... I've always thought their motto should be...... " LIDL - cheap food round the outside, cheap crap in the middle"
  7. Wow, what a coincidence. TBH I would have given you money if you'd just asked for it. It was all the filthy, depraved acts that you wanted to perform in return for money that put me off.
  8. Parents of multiple children are such liars...lol. Everybody knows they have a favourite, the kids know who's the favourite , but they won't admit it to anyone because they think it will make them look bad. Presumably they don't think that everyone knowing that they just lied to their face makes them look bad?
  9. Thanks for the suggestion, but that wasn't the issue. (see above)
  10. The update *seems* to have fixed it in as much as it's not doing it in a new quick test project I just set up. I don't remember the names of older projects that I tried it in OTOH but I'll seek them out over the weekend and see if it now behaves itself in those.
  11. The king of unfunny finally begins to hit back at the interloper.?
  12. That's what I was getting at. I met a guy years ago sitting on a bench looking over the sea. He was quite old and at first glance very smartly dressed (shirt/tie/jacket etc...) but with a closer look the clothes were very well worn and slightly grubby. He told me that he had lived outside for many years. I felt bad and offered sympathetic words, but he told me that it was his choice and he wouldn't have it any other way. By the end of the conversation I was half tempted to join him.
  13. On the plus side, nobody can make you stay in if you haven't got an in.
  14. I'm sure many people would have said that about the entire population living under house arrest 18 months ago.
  15. Wasted on me. I've never even noticed it until you mentioned it.
  16. I figure that the get out will be that CW isn't on their list of recommended DAWs, so.......... I did ask PIB the question before buying if the lack of CW on the list meant that it wouldn't work or just that it wasn't tested and received no response to that, so I'm not inclined to have too much faith in their support. I shouldn't have bought it really. The demo version I had wasn't what you'd call stable, but I hoped that the many updates that were made to that initial release would have made it better, but no. It was clearly in a very poor state at release, so given how long they delayed the official release to "get it right" the warning signs were all there really. That'll teach me to be an optimist, lol ! ?
  17. It loads fine and works fine for as long as I keep the UI open and I am using it. If I switch to something else and then try to go back to it the UI comes up blank. Every time. The only way to get it to display again is to close the project and re-open it, but the same thing will happen the next time the focus is shifted away from the UI. As I'm sure you can imagine, that gets old very quickly and pretty much kills the mood, so I just can't be bothered with it.
  18. Downloading in the hope that the update might actually make it usable.......
  19. Apology rejected. Do not apologize. Should it happen, wear your reprimand like a badge of honour....... It's like taking a walk through that sketchy part of town. Ever had one of those days where you're a bit down that your life hasn't quite worked out the way you would have liked. You start to spiral downwards and as your mood darkens, it gets worse.......you begin to feel like a completely useless, ugly, unlovable waste of oxygen that could have otherwise been used to keep someone worthwhile alive. In your pocket you probably carry a non organ donor card. This is not because of any choice you have made. Surgeons the world over got together and agreed that no part of you should ever be allowed to contaminate the body of any other mortal and thus issued this particular card to you and you alone. If you crossed them, gangland bosses wouldn't even let their pigs eat you. In fact they would just leave you be and let you continue to live your life because they can imagine no worse punishment than that. So eventually you find yourself in that part of town seeking to be amongst your people..... An hour later you find that you feel much better. You may have your faults, but hey, at least you're not that guy, right?
  20. Fact check: A team of people who have no idea about anything have looked into this claim and supplied an answer that doesn't really answer the question raised: This information is false. There is no such thing as a Jeff Bezos. The name was AI generated to look like a regular name that couldn't be an anagram for anything else.
  21. The problem will come when all the other retailers have been driven out of business and there is only one choice. Watch what happens to prices then.
