I don't know that details about the timing but I do think that it will save every X minutes OR so many changes. Maybe you are exceeding the number of changes before the set time. I have not tried it but if you set the number of changes to 0 it might disable the number of changes threshold and only use the time.

Interesting. I looked at your image for a while and couldn't see anything immediately amiss. However, it might help if you told us what audio interface and driver type you are using. If your using the built in audio card then there is a setting for recording everything that is played out of the audio card in many of the drivers. This could cause a feeback loop possibly. Doe the meter go away if you disable the echo button? (The orange one highlighted on track 4)

does the Qu16 have its own ASIO driver or are you using ASIO4All? Drop outs have to do with your computer, including the driver, keeping up with the audio stream(s). It could be a bad ASIO driver or some other process on your machine. Try running letencymon with your project open to see if there is anything on your PC causing this.

You have to select all the audio and make them a groove clip by checking that box in the inspector or use AudioSnap as described in the manual

I don't think that the mouse commands can be changed.

It might depend on what kind of expression pedal you have. Most expression pedals are just a changing resistance and so you have to plug it into something that can interpret the resistance into a value. Multi-effects units usually have an expression pedal input. To get it into the computer to control a VST or other software you would need either a midi expression pedal, or a device into which you plug the expression pedal and then it converts the values into midi that could be used inside your PC.

This is one of those time where sending your project to support might help them determine what is going on.

In cakewalk the end is determined by the last event, node, clip etc. in the track view. Check automation for nodes past where you want the end. You can also try to select a bunch of time past the end of the project in the timeline and then select all tracks, while keeping the time selection, and hit delete. Check the event viewer as well for Midi or other notes past the end.

I would expect that you would hook up your keyboard like you had it at first Keyboard out -> Uno In Keyboard in <-= Uno Out However, You don't really need the Keyboard in unless you are trying to trigger sounds on your keyboard. If all your trying to do use your keyboard to record midi in Cakewalk then that is not necessary. You did not mention any other steps that you followed. Did you install a driver for the Uno or make sure that it showed up in your OS? Did you setup Cakewalk to see the UNO and verify that midi data was seen? Check pp 64 of the Reference Guide for a step by step instructions on setting up MIDI in Cakewalk

Do you mean latency with it recording midi? How bad is it? I have a Nektar LX88 and have not ever had this problem so I don't know how to help

You can also directly drag, move, or cntr-drag, copy, a take to another track. Jut expand the takes and copy the one you want to another track.

Check that you Lens are set to none and that you are not using a locked screen set. Or, vice versa, save a lens with your desired layout and recall it if things move.

The best way to get a virtual instrument to audio is to freeze the track, (the little star in the instrument track). This will bounce all the midi to audio and you can unfreeze it at any time to go back to the midi. If the audio sounds bad that would have to be related to your soundcard settings, project bit depth etc. Some specs on what audio interface and project sample rate and bit depth would be useful.

How do you have the effect inserted? A picture of your screen might help. Usually you just insert the plugin in the FX bin of the audio track. Waves Tune should not be using re-wire.

Besides using your ears you can also use the meters in Cakewalk to determine the tracks levels. The meters can be changed to show RMS, Peak, or both. If you want more metering options there are all sorts of meter plugins, free and paid, that can give you average loudness and K system levels as well.

So I tried to reproduce your issue and was unable to do it. Maybe yours is more complicated an so it is not as repeatable. Here is what I see. I made an envelope lane for volume in a track and made sure the value was 0.0dB Then I created 4 nodes and raised the inner nodes up to +3db. 1st number tells me what value I am on the the second the offset from the previous possition. I also closed the automation lane and just looked at the values in the track view. They seemed to be the same I moved one of the nodes to 6db. Then I moved bot the 3dB and 6dB nodes together so the 3dB one was back at 0dB. So, at least in this case everything seems to be working. If you are seeing something different maybe get a hold of cakewalk support and send them your project so they can look at it.

A corrupt project file is all I can think of. Try with a new project and importing all your audio/midi files. A pain but might solve your issue?

I can't say as I know why that would be happening. Do you have any VST or VSTi's in the project? It might be helpful to narrow it down to if a VST is the thing looking for a file or Cakewalk. Save your project to a new location. Delete all VST and VSTi one at a time and see if one of them is causing it.
