  1. I have yet to pay full price on any music related product, ever..... ok, it has been a case of “patience grasshopper” on most occasions.
  2. You can also do other tempo ratios other than 50% The formula is (Old tempo / New Tempo) x 100 % to get the length change. When entering in in the Process | Length dialogue box, drop the mantissa.
  3. User 905133's solution should work. Half the tempo. Then select all, then Process, change length. Make sure both Change Duration and Start times are selected. If there is no audio in the project, then deselect “Stretch Audio“ I have done this many time with MIDI projects.
  4. I have to agree here. I think this solved an issue I was having with SONiVOX Big Bang Cinematic drums crashing in CbB (this is a known issue is SONiVOX not an issue with CbB). Wrapped SONiVOX Cinematic drums in JBridge, crashes went away.
  5. They might be obsolete, but they are still supported (to open). While we wait for “some new alternatives”, I will continue to write and use them.
  6. You can assign a CAL script to a keybinding.
  7. Cakewalk is Jbridge aware. With Jbridge, you simply install it. When Jbridge is installed , the “Use Jbridge Wrapper” option becomes available in the plugin’s properties. That being said Meldaproduction plugins come with 64bit versions of all their plugins. You do not need any bridging software to use Meldaproduction plugins in Cakewalk by Bandlab. Just make sure you install and use the 64bit version. In fact, on their Web Site, it specifically states the following: “64-bit plugins can't work in 32-bit hosts even if the operating system is 64-bit. Do NOT use 32-bit plugins in 64-bit hosts. They would have to be bridged and can become slow and unstable”
  8. I use heaps of custom keybindings and never once have they been deleted as a result of a Cakewalk by Bandlab update. On your system , they could be disappearing because of a workspace setting. This is because, by default, each workspace loads their own keybindings settings. If you set your Workspace to “none” do your previous Keybindings return? I do actually use my own custom Workspaces but I do not want these custom Workspaces to load their own Keybindings. I want my Keybindings to be global regardless of which custom Workspace I use. To do this, I go into the Workspace manager, select my custom workspaces one by one. Then under “Load from Workspace”, deselect "Keyboard Shortcuts". That way, my Keybindings don't change when I load a different Workspace.
  9. You might be better off standing a new thread.....
  10. Production Voices support got back to me with a working link.
  11. Just imagine what Cakewalk by Bandlab will look like by the end of this year....
  12. I never use UVI portal. I always use a download manger to download the UVI libraries directly. That's always faster than UVI portal.

    How to extend track

I use the “add a MIDI CC event” method - that always works for me.....
  14. Just placed an order.... didn’t get my serial number via email (Paypal notification email came, though).. Checked spam folder. Shot an email to Production Voices support. Maybe they are being hammered...
  15. I might be wrong on this, I am pretty sure the Behringer umc22 uses ASIO4ALL as it's driver... If that is the case, I am thinking that one way to reduce your latency, is to get an audio interface that comes with its own native ASIO drivers (Which is not ASIO4ALL).
  16. If it happened in Cakewalk 8.5, then it's not ripple edit. Ripple edit was not a thing until the Sonar Platinum years. One other thing it might be is in the advanced Paste Dialogue box, you may have ticked “Slide over to make room” instead of "Blend old and New".
  17. Ripple edit effects everything, including MIDI clips. I don't use it much either - you would want to only use it when needed. The ripple edit is the button under the min/max/close buttons on the track view window. There are no keybindings to it by default. However, it you have set some (I suspect you have not though), you might be pressing the key by mistake. See: http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Arranging.33.html
  18. Not possible with clip new. However, a work-a-round may be to display “notes” instead of “clips” to display the inline PRV.
  19. Is it possible that sometimes you have ripple edit enabled?
  20. Do you happen to have Ripple Edit enabled?
  21. Are you using version 5.01? see: https://cgi.ikmultimedia.com/ikforum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=26314
  22. I don't know if one exists, but you could probably write one if you have the know how?
