  1. If you want to best experience with Cakewalk by Bandlab, get a true native Windows PC. You will likely regret getting an M1 Apple Macbook to run Cakewalk by Bandlab using Parallel Desktop.
  2. I don't know what to say. It works here. I am assuming you have added the articulation map in the PRV. Personally, if I wanted a VST that gives accurate pitch bend control, then Spitfire LABS is not it.

    No clip fade handle

A bounced MIDI clip will only convert to audio if it has been routed to a VSTi (Not all are). Have you enabled Auto Crossfade? (under the track- options menu, or top right of the track window, next to the ripple edit button)
  4. Use CC, not CC14b I experimented with an articulation map too and did manage to get the articulation map working - albeit a bit clumsy. I used generate CC99 > 0 , CC98 > 14 and CC6 > 64 and CC38 > 0 , then transform Wheel -8192 <> 8181 to CC6 61 <> 68 Of course you could use LABS MIDI learn to map a CC to Global Tune in LABS.... but then you’re back to working out the CC values that generate the -2 to 2 semitone range. Because the tuning range of LABS it so great, there would only be very few usable discreet values anyway. Any all this fluffing around, it might actually be easier to try and find a VST that actually responds to pitch bends with an actual -2 to 2 semitone range.
  5. He would have to use CC6, CC38, CC98 and CC99 events to do this (as LABs uses NRPN 14 for Global Tune). Do you have plans to add NRPNs and RPN for the Transforms in the articulation maps? (I think I’ve already put a FR for this)
  6. Which synth plugin are you using? Which CC are you Using? You could use a mathematical formula for work out the mapping from CC values to the tuning and then use Articulation Maps to do the conversion. In the example you provided, you could map -36 --> 36st to 0 --> 16383. In that example, if -36 is 0 and 36 is 16383, then the range of -2 to 2 is between 7736 to 8647 To change from 0 to 16383 to -36 to 36, the formula for the conversion is CC = (227.5417 x ST) - 8191.5. You would need to remove the mantissa. (I think that's right)
  7. ^^^ This is the best way . Also, CC71 is for resonance.
  8. What is your set up, OS, Audio interface? Latest drivers? (Visually check using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates). if you have installed Windows update - maybe they borked your drivers. Note: I have configured Windows 10 quality updates not to touch any hardware drivers.
  9. Unfortunately I cannot use this until Sampletank 4.14 is updated to a higher version. There is an issue with the attack of some Sampletank patches in 4.14 that has caused me to revert to 4.13. I have reported this IK support about this who have acknowledged this issue (with the attack on some patches). They have assured me that this will be corrected in the next update. Until then, The Resonator is off limits for me.

    Computer shuts down?

If you “have little knowledge about hardware”, then to be safe, you might need to take to where you bought it from and see if they can help you with the diagnostics. You previously mention that “Cakewalk works just fine until I play back something”. Are you able to temporarily try another audio interface (or even your onboard one) and try the steps with the SI-Drum Kit. One other though, what are your audio settings in Cakewalk? Sample rate, bit depth and buffer size and driver mode. Maybe try 44100 hz, 24bit and anything greater than 256 samples and ASIO drivermode. I am really clutching as straws here.
  11. Full Kontakt v 5.8.1 or later required.
  12. This is a Simple Instrument Track. In contains a MIDI track routed to a VST instrument and an Audio track. I was wondering if there is any MIDI controller data that might be overriding what the automation might be configured to change.
  13. I have to agree with this. Maybe it's my hearing or my system, but damned if I could tell any difference with A/Bing (even on all tracks) “Hey mate, you forgot to put the Console Emulator on all of the tracks in the final mix”, said no client ever.....
  14. Are these SITs or pure audio tracks?
  15. See: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR X2&language=3&help=ProChannel.8.html

    LAME_ENC.dll

    You should have mentioned that......
  17. Promidi

    LAME_ENC.dll

Try updating the lame_enc.dll You can download the latest version at http://www.free-codecs.com/Lame_Encoder_download.htm
  18. This green bar appears alongside the selection bar whenever something is selected. It's actually the selection itself that defines part of the track that you want to transpose (or perform any editing function). See: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=NewFeatures.079.html The way to make them invisible is by using the Cakewalk theme editor to set opacity of the Selection Marker to 0%. This is under the item Theme > Time Ruler > Markers. The item name is “Selection Markers”. Note, even though this makes them invisible, they still function as if they are visible. To select all notes in a given track, click the track number in the track pane. (might want to deselect all first)
  19. I am not sure what happened there. One possibility is that, in the MIDI track, some events are set to the wrong channel. This might also explain why a piano is heard in stead of the required Bass sound (Patch 34 should be a bass sound). Yes, the intended part has been set to a BASS sound. However, the MIDI channels used in the events themselves might send those events to another part which, by default, is a piano sound. Setting the MIDI track’s MIDI channel setting to a specific MIDI channel rather than “none” (done above where you set the patch) will force all MIDI events in that MIDI track to that channel. BTW, I believe a “shape” event in the event list is MIDI automation on that track. Before deleting those, you might want to make sure there is no automation in the MIDI track.
  20. Important Note: The Vintage Keys Collection requires the FULL version of Kontakt 5.8.1 or above
  21. Is it possible that for yamaha keyboard, styles are configured using sysex commands. Cakewalk by Bandlab allows one to enter sysex command as banks (or even descrete sysex strings using the event list view. I believe that that sysex commands to do this is as follows "F0 43 73 01 51 05 00 03 04 00 00 dd dd F7" where "dd dd" is the Style Number. To find out the sysex strings you would need to send, you will have to consult the MIDI implementation chart for your particular Yamaha keyboard.
  22. I downloaded this and there does not seem to be any MIDI command that you can send to French Violin to change these articulations. Unfortunately, This would rule out changing these articulations in French Violin using articulation maps. I also tried sending patch change commands - these had no effect. If someone does know if there are MIDI commands that can change these articulations, then hopefully they can chime in.
  23. As a test, I loaded a previous project that uses AD2 and various soft synths and that has screensets. While the project was playing, I switched screensets. The project continues to play with out any interruption of any kind. My Cakewalk and PC is configured as per my signature. We are going to need information about your set up (Detailed PC Specs, OS and version, version of Cakewalk, etc.) Have you updated your all of hardware drivers (using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates) What driver mode are you using?
  24. It's the part that opens up when you press i . It can show more settings pertaining to a track.
  25. That is correct. You really should update to Cakewalk by Bandlab
