  1. A single diagram that shows the following. Which track(s) route(s) to which bus. Which track(s) route(s) to an Aux track. Were sends are being send to. What effects are on which tracks/busses/aux tracks, Where MIDI data is being routed to. Where synth's MIDI outs are going. etc See where I am coming from? (Feel free to ignore if it's ever implemented)...
  2. Yes, Chromophone 3 can be a bit of a CPU hog One thing you might like to do with Chromophone 3 is to to reduce the Mode Density on the resonators. The caveat there, however, is you are going to lose some of the high end crispness on some of the sounds....
  3. While I have never does this, I do have my content in two non default locations - one for Sampletank 3 and the other for Sampletank 4. I am wondering what would happen if you move the folders as defined in your Sampletank and Syntronik configuration to your new drive. Then do a database scan in both Sampletank and Syntronik. In my Sampletank 4, my specific content location is as follows: "S:\Sampletank 4" "D:\Content\Sampletank 3" Say I wanted to move the "D:\Content\Sampletank 3" folder to the S: drive. I would move the entire "D:\Content\Sampletank 3" folder to the S: drive so I end up with "S:\Sampletank 3" (complete with content) After the move has been completed, I believe I would go into both Sampletank and Syntronik configuration and change the "D:\Content\Sampletank 3" entry to "S:\Sampletank 3". Then do a rescan. Of course, if you ever install more content, keep an eye on the install location of that content to make sure it actually matches. As I said, I have never actually done this, but this is what I would do if I ever had to. Someone who has actually done a content move might have a different method and can chime in.
  4. 1) A visual routing diagram for a given project. 2) The ability to rename controllers in the PRV as they appear in the Track Pane. (Currently, this is only possible globally, not per instrument)
  5. Updating to Windows 11 would be less painful than replacing entirely new hardware. Simply take a backup (preferably image) , then upgrade. Personally I would deactivate any iLok products pre upgrade. Then reactivate post upgrade.
  6. Your next more would be to locate your “ST4_AcPiano_Samples_Part_6.zip” file (That you’ve hopefully backed up somewhere) On option is to extract the files therein to a folder. Then run the “Install SampleTank 4 Sound Content.exe” ,making sure you select the correct destination (The error message should give you the clue here). Another option is this. In the zip file, there is the folder “SampleTank 4 Sound Content”. Drill down to the folder until eventually you’ll get to the actual “C Grand Close Mics Sustain 1.pak.” file. Manually copy that file to the location specified in the error message. Then open up ST4 and do a database scan (Settings | Sound Content > Rescan All) I have been using Sampletank for quite a while now and I have yet to encounter missing sounds.
  7. With all iterations of ST4, Sampletank has always been able to find all C7 Close Mic'd presets. I went from 4.13, to 4.15 then to 4.16 (I intentionally skipped 4.14) Still, the update is still recommend for other reasons. If the 4.16 update does not resolve the issue, is the "C Grand Close Mics Sustain 1.pak” file actually present in the folder specified in the error message? On my system, this specific file is exactly 3.28 GB (3,525,319,061 bytes)
  8. I might be wrong on this, but I think this happens when there is an update to the library. Yes, it should appear under updates, but I seem to remember a version number in the actual LABS file structure incrementing upon installing a currently installed LABS library.
  9. ST4.16. Just loaded C7 Grand Close Mic. All good here. Have you tried reinstalling ST4_AcPiano_Samples_Part_6.zip. This is the exact file that contains the C “Grand Close Mics Sustain 1.pak” file. This is on Sampletank 4 Max.
  10. For Shipwreck Piano, it specifically states that it requires 4.14 or above. Do you happen to remember which version of Sampletank 4 you had when Shipwreck Piano produced silence? For a while, due to another issue (which I did report to IK support and they acknowledged) with some patches , I had to stick with 4.13 until that issue was resolved. Once 4.15 came out and I updated, I was able to use the later libraries (Shipwreck Piano being one of them).
  11. I a willing to take that risk. I know the workaround so far. I have asked Cakewalk support if the subject of dropping support for CAL scripts has ever been discussed in their development meetings so far. It hasn't.
  12. Another option is to Select All (of a track or the entire project). Then go to the Menu item: Edit | Select | By Filter > Select “None”. Then select Notes, then OK. Now when you Copy, only notes will be copied.
  13. All my MIDI only projects are CbB. The CAL scripts and Studioware panels I have written makes Cakewalk the only choice. I would be lost if Cakewalk ever dropped CAL scripts and Studioware. They speed up my workflow immensely.
  14. In preferences | Audio | Configuration File try adjusting the following: EnableSetThreadIdealProcessor = False MixThreadCount = {number of cores minus 1} You might like to exit Cakewalk by Bandlab, go to the following folder and make a copy of the AUD.INI file before doing this: %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core
  15. A couple of questions: What audio interface are you using? What driver mode are you using? What is the name of the VSTi you are you using? ASIO is preferred. This is checked with Preferences | Audio | Playback and Recording. My PC is configured as per my signature and I can play VSTis in real-time with out any undesirable delay between key-press and note output.
  16. Usually for “under the bonnet” changes, enhances, bug fixes, optimisations, etc....
  17. I just thought I would mention that the MS Visual C++ runtimes are not included in the regular Windows updates. These have to be updated manually. When you get the error message, is it the installation of the Native access itself that manifests the error message or is it the installation of an NI product itself. If it’s the latter, then one thing you could try is head over to start + run > appwiz.cpl and uninstall the offending application. Once that is done, then attempt the install of same application through Native Access.

    Out Of Tune

Maybe spray a tiny bit of contact cleaner in the pitch controller wheel (definitely not oil based! Not WD40!)
  19. Just used Native Access to download and install FM8. No problems here (PC configured as per signature) This has to be an issue at your end. Try updating your network drivers. Restart your router Try using a wired connection between your PC and your router (ethernet) Is your Windows fully patched Try updating your Vdist runtimes See: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

    Out Of Tune

We need more info.. Is this a MIDI project or an audio (or a combination)?
  21. I updated to Sampletank 4.16 mid project (risky I know, but I have backups) that has 3 instances of Sampletank 4 (each with a few instruments therein) and I did not experience any crashing or anything like that. It just worked. This is on a PC configured as per my signature.
  22. Sampletank 4 updated to 4.16 Syntronik 2 updated to 2.01 Update via IK Multimedia Product Manager.
  23. I am not sure if this was intentional or not but In ER2021.12 93's track view, the allocated space for the Archive Button is now narrower. This means that the icon no longer fits into the allocated space. The right hand part of the upper case A is now truncated. This happens in the Mercury theme as well. Is this intentional. If it is, then we are going to have to edit all custom themes to accommodate.
