What version of Cakewalk is this?
-
I tried out the demo version. Turns out I DO need another reverb.... and at $US29 - no brainer.....
-
In Modo Bass 2, under “Play Style” turn off “Let ring” (Controlled by CC64)
-
What one has to ask oneself, at the end of the day, does one really need another reverb?
-
I would actually be OK with being able to edit one note at a time for Key Aftertouch Events. I think I would ever only be doing that anyway. When adding a KeyAft Events in the PRV, in the “MIDI Event Type” dialog box, you could have KeyAft as “Type” and have, “Key”, “Value” and “Channel”

@msmcleodYes, what you say makes a lot of sense. PAT message would be difficult to display in a controller lane owing to the possible note values. Even with softsynths that can respond to PAT messages, a workaround could be to simply use multiple instances of a given synth if I don't want a parameter to effect all notes the same way (like the pitch bend of a Pedal Steel Guitar for instance). Another possibility is to create CAT messages and use Articulation Maps to transform them, on the fly, to PAT messages. At least doing it this way, direct editing of the CAT messages are at least possible. (Just don’t transpose the note events) Personally I think I will just use the “multiple instances of a given synth” method.

@msmcleodhave there ever been any discussion at your dev meetings to support Poly Aftertouch as a controller lane in the PRV?

Do you have any other software open that is using the Focusrite in ASIO mode. If using later drivers than the BETA drivers version 4.87.4.709, that will prevent Cakewalk from seeing the Focusrite (as least on my system anyway). Note: This is why I am still on BETA drivers 4.87.4.709 11 Dec 2020. This was the last version that does not have this issue.

One thing I can think of is, somehow, Remote Control is enabled on the master level. Right click on the Master Level slider. If the menu item “Disable Remote Control” is NOT greyed out, then click on “Disable Remote Control” to remove the mapping.
-
That does not sound right. Are you looking in Preferences - Audio - Playback and Recording > Driver mode ? If you are and WASAPI or ASIO are not showing up as options, then you have bigger issues....... Do you have the latest Focusrite 2i2 drivers loaded?

Disable sustain effect when recording using keyboard?
Promidi replied to JonnyHeyhey's question in Q&A
There are two ways that I can think of. In the MIDI track, you can put an instance of the Cakewalk FX MIDI Event filter to filter out C64 events This will still record the cc64 events. However, when correctly configured, it can prevent the cc64 events from reaching the synth. Of course, this will only work if your Casio is actually generating CC64 events in the first place and that there is not something else causing the sustained notes (like a high CC72 value). Another option I can think of is to go into Preferences - MIDI - Playback and Recording and under “record”, deselect “Controller”. However, this prevents all controllers (not just CC64) from being recorded, so you may not want this I think the reference there is in the Piano Roll View with the controller lanes visible. You might want to go into the Event List View to see if there are actually some C64 > 127 events even present. While you are there, you could add a C64 > 0 event to turn of any sustains that might be active. -
I have assigned a keybinding for this (In my case, SHIFT + C under PRV keybindings) Though an on screen indication of status would be nice (without having to mouse to the PRV menu).

Disable sustain effect when recording using keyboard?
Promidi replied to JonnyHeyhey's question in Q&A
A power adapter would not cause the sustain effect to activate. The correct and recommended power adapter either works or it doesn’t. Are you sure the piano is actually transmitting a CC64 MIDI Event? -
Can this be used at the same time as Izotope’s, De-wind?.....

Eventide Black Hole, Spring, and Mangleverb Audio Deluxe Exclusive for $29
Promidi replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
This makes me wonder if any sane person has ever actually paid $US199 for these..... -
Is it also possible that USB power saving kicks in and disconnects some USB devices....? Personally, I disable all power saving on my PC (It's a tower)

..... and I have just realised, after all this time..... I thought it was called Amplitude (with a "d").......

I love these Spring Sales .... in our Autumn...

Currently, in the PRV controller lane, CC events on different MIDI channels require their own lane (in single lane controller mode). Can we please have an option where all CC's of a given controller can be displayed on a single lane, regardless of their MIDI channel> This was possible with Cakewalk Pro audio 9 (yes going back a bit) by setting the display MIDI channel to “All Channels” With the latest Cakewalk, “All Channels” for CC Event controller lanes has been removed. It would be great to get that back.
