And then there is the issue that VST3 does not support program change MIDI events. VST2 does.

Select Smart tool. Select clip. Hold ALT while hovering over selected clip - pointer becomes pair of scissors. With ALT still pressed, left click. The clip will split where the pair of scissors mouse pointer is This has always worked for me.

Changing a MIDI note selection to have a minimum velocity requirement
Promidi replied to Sven's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Just to clarify. Do you want to adjust all selected note's velocities so that their range converts from what ever the minimum is to what ever the maximum is to go from 110 to 127? If so, then read on. To do that with Find/replace, you would need to know what the minimum and maximum velocities are in the selection. Then enter those values in the minimum and maximum velocity fields of the first Find/replace dialogue box. Then in the next Find/replace dialogue box, enter 110 and 127 in minimum and maximum the velocity fields. If you know how to write CAL scripts, A CAL script can be written to do this for you - including the finding of the minimum and maximum velocities of the selected notes. -
Maybe this is the issue you are encountering? https://forum.bome.com/t/korg-nanokontrol2-driver-on-windows-10-not-working-how-to-fix-it/3047

Changing CC Parameters in PRV with Midi Controller Pots?

No, because I do not have the user guide LX25+ Hopefully someone who has one can help you. -

Changing CC Parameters in PRV with Midi Controller Pots?
Promidi replied to Stephen Power's question in Q&A
You don't “Change CC Parameters in PRV ”, you configure the Nektar’s knobs to transmit various Controller MIDI events with the knobs. It's the VSTis and any synths that do that actual responding. The PRV is merely one way to display and edit them. I tried to find a downloadable user guide for the LX25+ on line to no avail, but that’s where I would start...... Look for programming knobs or something like that.... -
Actually, that’s one thing I didn't try. I did save the project while it was working just in case. However, I forgot to do the reload of the working project. Sadly, doing that that crashed CbB to the desktop. My advise is that Poise is baldly written and to ditch Poise and use MPC Beats instead. I have uninstalled Poise.
-
I installed Poise and here are my results If I load an instance of poise as a SIT (Simple Instrument Track) in Track 1, Cakewalk by Bandlab drops me to desktop as soon as I load an instance of UVIWorkstation as a SIT (via a track template or not). This happens with VST2 or VST3 version of UVIWorkstation. I am using the latest UVIWorkstation. However, if I load UVIWorkstation in track 1 (i.e first), then load poise in track 2, this works fine. I then preceded to load UVI Percussion factory into UVIWorkstation and create a small beat. I filled 8 measures of track 1 with the MIDI data required to generate the same beat in Percussion factory. I then created another beat in track 2. This was to be played with Poise. One this was programmed I was able to play both beats simultaneously. The takeaway and workaround. Load UVIWorkstation first, then poise. As has been mentioned, use the native Focusrite driver. The Fl studio's ASIO driver is simply a wrapper and not a true ASIO driver.

Yay, I can get V Collection 9 and FX Collection 4 at a huge discount...... Thing is. I already have them! Actually, I think the reason this happens is when one has multiple Arturia products that trigger the upgrade offer.

Here is one option. Select all the tracks that you which to add Controllers to (including markers if necessary) Select Menu > Insert > Series of Controllers with reasonable parameters. All selected tracks will have the Series of Controllers added.

Yes. My Malwarebytes 4.6.6 Premium goes ballistic (riskware) when I attempt to visit.

Studioware panels (and CAL Scripts) still open and run in Cakewalk by Bandlab. I have many custom Studioware panels and Cal Scripts that I still use every day for my Cakewalk projects. You just cannot edit them in Cakewalk by Bandlab. You need a pre 2002 version of Cakewalk to edit them (which I still do).

I tried all of those here and they all work as above. (PC as per sig) Don’t forget that, by default, workspaces can have keybindings that are specific to that workspace. Personally, keybindings is one item that I tell workspaces not to load. I prefer (and use) global keybindings. I have many custom keybindings and when I make change, I do an export to a KBN file. I also make a regular reg file to backup up my keybindings.

.....and the answer I got was this. “It is not entirely necessary to have Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime installed for activation purposes as, if you have other programs that require the Runtime, then it is best to have it installed.” So looks like I was wrong about webview2 being needed for activation.
-
I have asked this definitive question of Cakewalk support. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “Are you able to tell me what Cakewalk by Bandlab functions would not work as a result of not having a working Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime installation. Especially, would that break Cakewalk by Bandlab activation?” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
Not sure about Edge, but you definitely need Webview2 for CbB's activation. I suspect that because CbB2023.09 changed the activation server, they also changed the Webview2 requirement to the 64bit version. I believe that once you get a successful 64bit Webview2 runtime installation, CbB should activate. I believe that’s that’s your show stopper.
-
To me, this is looking like a Windows 7 issue specific to your PC. I believe because the 64 bit version of the WebView2 Runtime won’t install on your Windows 7 PC, you won’t be able to activate CbB 2023.9. Maybe there is a policy on your PC that is preventing Edge (and hence Webview2 Edge Runtime) updates. I know you won’t want to hear this, but maybe a reinstall on Windows 7 is needed. I said this because a complete uninstall/reinstall would mean losing all your Cakewalk settings and they will revert to default. More so, I am not even confident that even this will solve your issue, as Cakewalk’s installer will still try to install the 64 bit WebView2 Runtime (which will fail). Do you have a trusted person with technical expertise who can have a look at this for you?

It works in standalone so I am assuming you have the guitar sim MIDI learn set up properly (or know how do set it up). In CbB, you need to enable “MIDI in” on the guitar sim plugin Then create a MIDI track with your midi keyboard set as its input, and the guitar sim as its output. Make sure input echo is enabled on the MIDI track.
