  1. Many things. For example. Convert channel aftertouch to poly aftertouch., Add controller ramps (up, down or up then down). Convert controller linear ramps to curves. Change a contour of a controller curve Create a controller linear ramps between first and last selected events. Convert a series of notes to a single note and pitch bend (to convert to legato) - this only works with GM/XG modules and TTS-1. Use a slider to move a split point between notes. Position the now pointer to the nearest measure, but of offset it by how far the left marker is from its nearest measure. (good for capturing notes that start start slightly before a measure when copying and pasting). Many of these functions I have made as buttons on Studioware Panels. There are many more - too many to list.
  2. CAL (Cakewalk Application Language) allows one to write code to manipulate existing MIDI data that is in your Cakewalk project. CAL also allows changing of selection markers and the now cursor. It is not applicable to audio data.
  3. Personally, for any given MIDI track or Simple instrument track, what I do is I add an arbitrary volume event (CC7 and/or CC11) at the beginning couple measures ( before any note events.)
  4. What I do is set RechannelMIDI=1 in the Cakewalk.ini file - done in Preferences - File - Initialisation File (Advanced). Then, for the MIDI track the clips are on, set the MIDI channel to a specific channel (rather than the default “none”.) Then when you bounce MIDI clips, the MIDI channels of all events of those clips will change to match the MIDI channel the MIDI track is set to. I have key bound “B” to bounce clip.
  5. Self created CAL script and Studioware panels..... (because they still work in CbB)
  6. Does this buzzing sound occur even if nothing is being played?
  7. What I did is picked up an old HP DC7600 SFF and a side bracket......
  8. I have used a 2nd PC with Windows 7 32bit to use my SW1000XG (MIDI). CbB is in a Windows 10 PC and it is connected to the SW1000XG via a Roland USB to MIDI adapter. I use MIDIOX to do the MIDI routing on the Windows 7 PC I have worked this way since 2015.
  9. Looks like a permissions issue? What is the exact path to where your recording is saved to? Does that path actually exist (maybe a drive has gone AWOL)?
  10. Could you not set up your one instance of Kontakt, do the routing of multiple MIDI channels and then save as a Track Template?
  11. I'm with the “plug-in is in Demo Mode” theory..... If it’s not that, then something must have changed. What have you tried so far?
  12. I am thinking that, if you’re doing dialogue, then RX Advanced might be the better choice.... if you can afford it.
  13. I am still not convinced that RX10 Standard adds much if you already have RX9 Standard - not for the price they are asking anyway (even when it was $US79.00).
  14. But a spell checker won't differentiate between there, their and they're. Same with stationery and stationary. Or even effect and affect.
  15. It looks like those octave buttons on the VisionKey-1 only affects what is sounded internally on the keyboard itself. It looks like it does not effect the MIDI notes data that is actually transmitted. The way to tell definitively is to load some kind of MIDI monitor on to your PC (Like MIDI-OX) to see what the VisionKey-1 is actually transmitting and if that changes when you press the octave buttons. https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/how-do-i-install-and-use-midi-ox-for-windows/
  16. What is the exact make and model of your MIDI Keyboard? I have a PCR-800 and this also has octave up and down buttons. When I press these buttons on the PCR-800, what it does is it changes the actual MIDI note numbers that the PCR-800 transmits. Normally middle C on, the PCR sends "note on" 60. When I press octave up, pressing middle C, the PCR sends "note on" 72 (60 + 12 semi tones). When I press octave down, pressing middle C, the PCR sends "note on" 48 (60 + 12 semi tones). So, the octave up/down button determines what the PCR actually sends. Cakewalk would interpret these MIDI events as notes. Pressing middle C with the octave down button pressed would send the same as if you physically pressed one octave down from middle C on the keyboard. I would assume that your keyboard would do the same.
  17. Are these step sequences by any chance?
  18. Yes, PRV is the Piano Roll View. I have always been able to edit velocities in the PRV controller pane. You do have the Smart Tool or Move Tool enabled when you attempt to edit the velocities in the PRV controller pane, don’t you?
  19. Sometimes it helps to briefly mention where one has tried to find the answer along with the question...... Even maybe mention the specific resource and adding....."but I just need help understanding this part.................."
  20. Massive X works fine on my PC with CbB 2022.11 Build 21 Have you updated your graphic drivers. Check this even of you think you have the latest version (Maybe Windows updates borked them). Do this using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates.
  21. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.....
