  1. My PC is online 24/7 As long as Meldaproduction make good on their promise to provide an offline 17.xx installer for those who are not....
  2. The Meldaproduction plugin manager is fine.....
  3. You cannot roll back CbB to a previous version. The only version of CbB that will authorise will be the latest version of the day. At the time of this reply, the latest version of CbB is 2024.08 Build 108.
  4. As a test, I created some pedal events. (CC64 > 127 , CC64 > 0) They showed up correctly in the staff view. With the smart tool selected, right drew a marquee around the pedal events and hit delete. The Pedal events were deleted. So yes, you can Delete pedal events in Staff View.
  5. Did you install the VST2 and VST3 versions of given synths. If you only installed one iteration if given synths, your project might have used another. Maybe your projects needs VST2 when only VST3 is available for example. Also, in Preferences - File - VST setting, you might want to deselect the options “Hide Related VST2 Plug-Ins”, and “Replace If Possible on Project Load” - see if that makes a difference.
  6. If Ableton saves MIDI files in the correct formant, Cakewalk will be able to open them. Try type 0 and Type 1 MIDI files to see which one gives better results. Remember to open the MIDI file in Cakewalk rather than import. That way, tempo, markers, and meter information, etc are also brought across.

  8. These presets (for CbB) are stored in the registry in the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Core\Presets\{FD3918AE-AF3D-414B-8701-C9A02623E875} As an initial troubleshooting step, does the following key exist in your registry and is it populated. Here is what mine looks like (for CbB)
  9. Select source track(s), Cut, then Paste Special > Enter destination track number. Select “Paste to one track”
  10. Shouldn't be (or at least not perceivable). That being said, given the choice, I would use USB. USB allows for multiple ports. This might not be relevant for the TD-50X. However, this is especially important when using your MIDI controller as a control surface. One port for the control surface functions, another for the MIDI functions.

    All of a Sudden!

What have you tried so far? From your previous post, it still might be Windows Update related. Uninstall and then reinstall your audio interface drivers. Update them if necessary - To do the version check, visually check manufacturer’s website for latest version rather than relying on any local software (even the manufacturer’s). I have told Windows that Windows Quality Updates are never to touch any drivers. Check Control Panel, “Programs and Features” then sort by “Installed On”, to see if any installed programs might have affected Cakewalk. Something outside of Cakewalk must have changed.
  12. No it cannot. There are no CAL script commands that give access to clip colours.
  13. Open the MIDI file instead of importing. Open retains tempo, importing does not.
  14. Even though I have V-Collection 9, which Arturia synths specifically, maybe I can try some here.
  15. This is where MIDI sends would be handy.....
  16. Please list some soft synths where this is happening. Is your Cakewalk and soft synth performance sluggish when your soft synths are not displaying their GUIs? My guess is that this is because those soft synths are quite heavy on the graphics. Without a separate GPU to handle the graphics, your CPU has to do all the graphic grunt work. For an older CPU this performance degradation would be quite noticeable. I have a 10 year old quad core i5 PC with a GTX960 graphics card and I have yet to experience sluggish performance with any soft synth - even graphic intensive ones while they are being displayed.. I did an experiment and temporarily disabled the GTX960. Cakewalk and soft synths became quite sluggish. I re-enabled the GTX960. Cakewalk’s performance returned to acceptable levels.
  17. No matter how good you believe your onboard audio is, always get a decent audio interface that comes with native ASIO drivers.
  18. I know this is a long shot, but have you tried updating your Vdist Runtimes? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-au/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170
  19. $US41.99 at JRR with code GROUP https://www.jrrshop.com/ik-multimedia-sampletank-max
  20. Is “Zero Controllers When Play Stops” setting in Preferences - Project - MIDI is selected? When this setting is selected, the following happens when playback stops. Cakewalk sets the controller values of the pitch wheel, the sustain pedal, and the modulation wheel on all 16 MIDI channels to zero. See: http://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=0x200D7 Note it says " sets ..... the sustain pedal..... to zero,"..... That is effectively lifting the sustain pedal. Remember, this is a per project settings, meaning that it can be set via a project or a project template. You could also select "Send All-Notes-Off Messages on Stop." is preferences - File - VST Settings. See: http://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=0x22B07 This will only work for those VSTi which correctly responds to CC123 Events.
  21. Looks like you already have the XG patches loaded. Setting all your MIDI channels to “Yamaha XG” should be all you need to do (this is assuming your Yamaha Keyboard adheres to the XG standard)
  22. Strange it works in the inspector..... but I also had trouble selecting Analog Lab Pro Bank/Patches as inserted MIDI events. Looks like it’s a strange interaction between Arturia and Cakewalk. I even tried inserting CC0 events to change to banks like that.....nada! Bank changes do work in Cakewalk as inserted MIDI events per se as I use them all the time with a Yamaha SW1000XG external synth card and the correct patches are always selected with that - that's with a synth with over 1300 patches. Looks like with Arturia, the way to go is several instances. Some Arturia patches take some seconds to load as they are sample based. Therefore, even if Analog Lab Pro did respond correctly to bank changes, several instances might still be the way to go.
