My ancestors were from both sides of the river. I love the names of some of the villages: Upton Snodsbury, Throckmorton ... I was disappointed not to find ancestors in Wyre Piddle and Flyford Flavell (which is just wonderful to say - how do the locals pronounce it?).

It probably makes more sense that way.

No and not for a while yet. But then with the way this is being handled here, who knows? It's politics before people. Next week we'll probably be told that the pubs were never closed at all, and that we're silly little plebs for believing that they ever were.
