They removed it from the listing!  Looks like it only shows the two free now, I wonder if they'll do something else for tomorrow.  I got it in Humble Choice anyway, I'm sure it will complement the powerwash simulator I got free somewhere, PC builder sim, and other sims based on mundane tasks that I already do enough IRL that I'll never play their virtual versions.

    Still here! https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/lawn-mowing-simulator-838bf3

    Available TOMORROW.

Probably not a bad endorsement! ? Out of curiosity, were you referring to the Wavestate or PPG in particular?

Assuming Wavestate by the Korg reference, but just checking.

    Wavestate.

Sorry, I didn't notice that quote by kevin H was ambiguous in that regard. Fixed! Skippy has a long history with KORG products, and I find that he is a reliable source!

My only hesitation is that my piece is for double choir ( SATB x 2 ) so that will be a lot of duplicated midi tracks!

I suppose this would be a good case for building a template with multiple instances for sections and articulations, if you needed to do this more than time.

I picked up Wavestate after watching pluginguru’s stream.  If you are trying to save money don’t watch.

As I recall, PluginGuru also has the hardware version and he stated that the plugin was spot on! As a former KORG sound designer, I believe that Skippy  probably knows a thing or two! :)

EDIT:  The online manual has been updated for v1.8.

Sorry, the v1.7 manual came up with a quick Google search. Doubt much changed with MIDI for v1.8, but that's the one to go with! :)

  6. It's usually pretty clear to me when Larry is the one speaking, LOL!!!

When he speaks, he's generally either raving or bashing. But mostly just quoting the source impartially. :)

I'm still in the process of acquiring Unify, but one feature mentioned in the videos and reviews that I've checked is that I can route different MIDI channels to different VSTs in Unify. If that means what I think it means, that I can route different MIDI streams to different VSTs, then that eliminates my biggest concern (that all VSTs have to play the same MIDI stream).

    Better buckle up >>>

Looks like it even got down to $79 and $82 on occasion.. even with a freebie on one of those.. Not much gets passed Lars ?

I'm not sure I could've resisted at that price!

Some resellers do have "in-the-cart" discounts, and/or bonus bucks for regular customers that could lower the price from the "official" sale.

Those factors are variables that would not be captured by a web crawler such as Music Software Deals is using.

So everyone is always going to have different views and while it might be nice to add some sort of endorsement for, (or against), I'm not sure I'd view it as essential personally.

A deal is a deal! No moderation or endorsements are implied here. But lots of friendly discussion at times!

It's up to the potential buyer to do their own research before partaking. Google search can be your friend!!! :)

How do I record the Audio output from the Arturia ARP 2600 3 Virtual synth ?

    Two general methods...

    1.  Convert the soft synth tracks to audio tracks via freezing or bouncing: http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=SoftSynths.12.html
    2.  Soft synth audio recording - record a soft synth’s audio output to any audio track in real-time: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=SoftSynths.27.html

I see this being the goal. A new audio interface that any newbie can hook up and start recording in a flash. Simple one knob plugins, results in a flash.

Digital 4-track in a box. Just connect to PC and press "Go" for instant gratification! :)

If on Windows platform CbB is a great solution for that.  But I have to admit that CbB is at a disadvantage being only Windows DAW.  Fine for my needs but I do know a couple folks from Church that are on MACs .

CbB is not really something that an absolute beginner can just jump into and hit the ground running. It's a complex piece of machinery. I'm still learning new things about it after 20+ years, LOL!

So for Mac's and PC's then, Studio One Prime! Free and cross-platform. Still not a one-pager though, as confirmed by the Fender CEO.

Eventually, whatever dumbed down version that Fender manages to produce may be worth a look... :)

I'm not sure I see the *need* for collaborators to be on the same DAW. Citizen Regen has two members recording in Studio One, one in CbB, one in Ableton, and one in Reaper (he used to use Digital Performer).

It's never hindered us. Why? All members transfer full length 24/48 wav/flac files. We don't need DAW specific project/song files to get the collab done.

That there is a "Craig Anderton-esque" workaround, and practically the current industry standard! :)

But Imagine if everyone had free access to the same platform for exchanging entire projects? Especially beginners?

Yes but........this is all dependent on the same plugins still being available. So the same thing can happen due to lack of updated or discontinued plugins. And if I build a DAW stack as a template it's really quite similar.

Assume that your plugins are installed and available for any host running on your PC. The same plugins will be available to Unify anywhere on your PC, in any DAW you wish.

Of course if you wanted to move projects over to another PC, regardless of whether or not you're using Unify, you would still need all of the plugins present.

You can't open that DAW template in a different brand DAW. But you can open that Unify preset in a different brand DAW and be up and running! :)
