Thanks for the recommendation and catching the typo in my username! Cakewalk keeps changing my name back to my registered name -- which I changed to my pseudonym from back in the day -- and when I mistyped PavlovsCat today when I went to change it back.

Are you by any chance registered on BandLab by your real name? That could be why your name shows up.

I am not registered as a BandLab user other than by my Cakewalk account, and Cakewalk only has my "screen" name, so it never tries to change that.

I turned it on and the DJ had REM, Billy Idol, Joni Mitchell....it reminds me of listening to a really good college radio jock 30 years ago. I'll have to see if they play more contemporary artists. But I like hearing these great songs that may be covered by a layer of dust in my CD collection.

Yep, I'm always amazed at how they dig up some deep tracks... good stuff!!!

At least with the web player you can see links to the band info, etc. I'm always bookmarking when they play stuff that I'm like, what is that???

I do not have collection 3.  I have the legacy bundle.

I see. On the website, I have to click and expand the KORG Collection 3 list to see the individual installer files. It sounds like KORG may have failed to place the new updates in the legacy bundle on the website.

I'm glad to hear that the KORG Software Pass worked!

Thanks, there must be something wrong in my PC then.
I've tried VST3 (Reaper)  and standalone AT5 too.

    edit:  GOT IT!

Don´t know why but I have to use scroll mouse wheel instead of left button and slide. Thank you for your help!

I had the same thing here in AmpliTube 5...

Until I set the MIDI learn to a knob on my controller. Then the mouse drag started working.

Deleted the MIDI learn, and the mouse drag continued to work. So closed AmpliTube, restarted it, added the Nu-Tron again and it still worked.

    Weird!!!

BTW, my comment about Linux and jealousy was tongue in cheek.

I actually prefer Linux to Windows, it's just that there is a serious lack of commercial software for Linux.

I even used Linux as my daily driver PC for a couple of years, with the exception of my Windows only DAW. I even once spent a couple of weekends trying to wrangle Linux audio, then asked myself why bother when I have a perfectly functional Windows DAW that just works (most of the time)?

Check Microsoft Store and the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. All of them have SomaFM players that allow you to Like songs and go directly to sites where you can purchase them. I haven't checked, but the MacOS App Store probably does, too.

Whatever CODEC they're using is really good.

Here are the mobile apps for SomaFM

    And drum roll..................................

The SomaFM app for Windows! :)

I love SomaFM. I don't love that they disabled streaming on platforms such as in games. lol

There are some amazing stations on there though. I wish they would put a software player out that would allow browsing stations easier. I still run it in Winamp. lol

The web browser HTML version on PC works well. The main page lets you browse all of the stations, and the pop-out HTML web player controls the playback for the selected station.

I didn't think that has happened before.

Usually it's just spammers and one-time trolls that get banned and posts deleted. The rest of the time regular users that cross the lines may get warned, or a thread can be suddenly locked.

Any idea why he bailed? His own business, of course. I'm just curious.

I'm just guessing that a couple of threads on July 24th may have contributed to his "vacation".

He got unfairly trolled on a couple of posts. The first one about Studio One getting shafted, where he got accused of "click-baiting", and another about some plugin by Wusik where he got accused of "promoting" a company's products that he knew were not reliable.

I think he just decided that he needed a break.

    - Server , like any other server online protection would need to be beefed up in case someone tries to come at you. An open server could be an open door.

    - I believe Shoutcast charges. Haven't looked at the rates. Everyone has to make it somehow right?

    - In the case of sharing I'm sure the copyright bug is just around the corner ready to bite, unless the material is clean.

    • As far as I can tell, Winamp only streams with Shoutcast. But since I have never done that, only know what I've read.
    • Shoutcast is a paid service. I believe Winamp SA and Shoutcast are owned by the same Belgian company, Radionomy, which acquired Shoutcast from Nullsoft. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radionomy
    • If you are sharing or streaming copyrighted content online, you are responsible for paying fees to the industry groups ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC (who represent songwriters & publishers) in very much the same way that an FM station does. These fees are distributed to songwriters & publishers based on periodic airplay surveys & reports.

Because some woke SJW who lives in his mother's basement and spends all his time trolling the internet inventing racism where it doesn't exist created an account for the sole purpose of jumping in with no knowledge or context to white knight on behalf of imaginary people who neither asked for, nor need, his help against people who did nothing to said imaginary people....

Well apparently I missed that while sleeping...

Sometimes "finding other software that's not such a PITA to acquire" is a good option, too.

Yep, that's the way I roll.

I also realize that most of the independently developed source code on GitHub was produced by unpaid volunteer labor. I am always grateful if they provide access to a free or paid binary. But I never assume or expect them to do that.

But for any of the big corporations that are using GitHub for their open source projects, that's a different expectation!!! :)

Where do you download the updates.  When i go to my downloads on korg website the downloads are still for the previous version (M1 2.2.0 and wavestation 2.2.0)

Not sure about the website. I always use the KORG Software Pass to download/update. It indicated that the two updates were available, and the new installers downloaded as soon as I clicked on them.

Hmmm... just checked the website and the new versions are also available there >>> https://id.korg.com/users/products
