  1. I saw Joe in concert a few years ago at a performing arts center. Quite a show. Have loved his music and guitar playing for years. One of the best!
  2. Selecting "None" on the MIDI track’s input prevented SI Drum Kit from responding to my MIDI controller. You could also try selecting the "Virtual Controller" or something else that you are not using as input. That also works here.
  3. Jordan's track get my vote! ?
  4. Intro to F.'em... livestream with the Tracktion team (Jun 15, 2021):
  5. 2 Filter Operators. [Edit] details from the user guide: 5.7 Filter 1 and 2 On this page, you find the filter and drive controls. To open this page, click on the F1 or F2 selection field in the left section. Each Layer features 2 filters with drive. As for the Operators, the Filters features hardwired modulations sources as a Cutoff LFO, a Level LFO, a Cutoff Envelope and Level Scaling and finally a Level Envelope. To hear the effect of a filter and the drive parameter, you need to route an operator/noise generator/sample oscillator signal through the corresponding filter. This needs to be done in the FM Matrix. A filter is used in synthesizers to attenuate or emphasize certain frequency ranges of a source signal. Most filter types consist of a pass and a stop band, some have two pass or two stop bands. The pass band is the frequency range where the input signal can pass (almost) unaffected, the stop band is the frequency range that is attenuated, sometimes fully. F-em offers various Filter types abbreviated LP, BP, HP or BS, followed by a number denoting the slope in decibel per octave. F-em offers two filter stages that are arranged in serial wiring.
  6. Lowest price was last July at JRR ... $24. https://musicsoftwaredeals.com/price-history/f-em-by-tracktion/
  7. Got this email today!!! About a week too late...
  8. As Bitflipper suggested, using a sampler to create a playable instrument from the wave files would be a relatively simple solution. A single sample could be mapped all the way across the keyboard. Play it in any octave you wish! An alternative to Kontakt, if all you need is a simple instrument, is the basic free sampler VST called Grace by One Small Clue. With sample drag and drop simplicity and keyboard mapping. https://www.onesmallclue.com/
  9. I saw Floyd on their "Animals" tour in 1977. They played a lot of DSOM, plus they had flying pigs at that show...
  10. It may be worth at least giving it a go with my virtual in-the-box sounds...
  11. Great idea! However I cannot think of a single developer who has ever updated to a resizable UI without charging.
  12. I usually run a Kilohearts installer that I archived from an earlier update, and it always picks up any latest additions to my account as well as any new updates. This ran fine today and all updated to the latest, but it did give me a notice about kHs ONE no longer being supported by the installer. So I let it uninstall that and just re-ran the standalone installer for kHs ONE.
  13. Simeon, so sorry that you had to go though this, but happy that you got it back. But one thing I'm scratching my head about here is what did the hackers hope to gain by doing this? Seems like they wasted a whole lot of time for nothing, especially with going to all the trouble of marking your videos private!
  14. Just waiting for a super deal now on the reverb Crystalline, by Baby Audio. Another one of the best new FX. It's $99 now, but was as low as $39 at Thomann last year. The active sale listed here at Producerspot appears to be a typo. https://musicsoftwaredeals.com/price-history/crystalline-by-baby-audio/
  15. I've has Fragments on my watch list for months... this price looked like it was as low as it's ever going to get! This is going into my sound design toolbox, along with Tantra 2 that I picked up on sale the other day.
  16. You'll need to use the Uber eats discount code for that! ?
  17. Thanks. I'm not a guitarist either. Mostly into synth and keys, but have played the bass some in the past and use virtual basses now. AT5 MAX gives me some nice cabinets and amps (SVX & SVX 2) for my virtual basses to add realism, but bass isn't really fertile ground for sound design. You just need to shape the bass to sound good in context of your mix. I have a few virtual guitars (UJAM, Orange Tree, etc.) that I just use for jamming and find that they can sound great when played through various preset setups in AT5 MAX, but have no need to geek out and go deep in designing or learning guitar FX chains. I used to jam with a guitar playing friend who carried a monster pedal board over for jam sessions. That thing always blew my mind. He played those foot pedals like an instrument to get any sound he wanted with a few clicks and/or knob twists.
  18. I haven't installed TONEX yet... Is it worthwhile to have?
  19. Used the "TACO10" code today to get Efx Fragments for $44.10. Installed!!!
  20. It is a really great synth! For 80 more excellent preset sounds, check out the Luftrum 22 preset bank for bx_oberhausen, by Luftrum and Sonic Underworld. $29. https://www.luftrum.com/luftrum22/ I don't understand why you cannot see the old-school preset pull-down menu in the preset name field "untitled". That also works here but I avoid it because it lacks the advanced features of the browser view. Tip: click the "?" in the lower-right corner of the plugin for a link to the PDF plugin manual that covers all of the synth sections and parameters.
  21. No limit that I'm aware of to iLok activations/de-activations. In fact that is what one should do anytime a major system change is about to occur if you are using iLok machine activations.
