  1. Did you take a look at the user manual for your controller that describes the downloadable program "Arturia MIDI Control Center"? I use that program with my KeyLab MkII. I took a look at the templates for that as well as the Minilab MkII. All of the available remapping options for the Arturia hardware controllers are found there. I don't believe that changing the target of pitch bend is an option. Some virtual instruments will allow you to change modulation destinations for various controllers such as pitch bend in their plugin config.
  2. Perhaps, but will wait to see... That could imply that only the "Plugin Collective" arrangement has ended, but that the giveaways may still continue in a different context, such as within your hardware user account where the bundled software is offered.
  3. In addition to the Sonar X1-X3 improvements, Sonar Platinum also had many, many new features/fixes/enhancements from 2015-2017 in the rolling updates. You can see them described here in the what's new section: https://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Whats-New Then consider the new features that CbB has added since 2017, as well as over 1,000 bug fixes. By these improvements, the Sonar X-series is now ancient history! https://bandlab.github.io/cakewalk/docs/FAQ/
  4. Please take a breath, and another look! The Collective freebies are now listed as "Time Limited" items inside of your original Focusrite account. https://customer.focusritegroup.com/en/my-software Which is a totally different login from the Collective account. At least they are showing up there in my account, and I have had a Focusrite interface for over 2 years.
  5. All you need to do now is login to your actual account at Focusrite (not the Collective or Plugin Collective account) and look at your products. The current "time limited" monthly offers, etc., will be listed among your bundled products. They just moved the cheese...

    Free games on Epic

You need to visit this link each week on Thursday. https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/ If you create an account you can manage your email preferences, but don't see a way to subscribe to only the free deals. If you open that door you are likely to see a lot of other promotional emails.
  7. The free bundled stuff included with your device is always available in your account, but it appears that they have switched the location of the "Time Limited" products to your Focusrite and/or Novation account (not your Collective account). Just look for "Time Limited" flag to identify these items. Time Limited items are currently: NI Massive, Ozone Elements, Splice (3-months), and 70% discount on "FAST Bundle". They are also promoting their "FAST Bundle" for sale. Full descriptions here: https://collective.focusrite.com/products/ https://collective.focusrite.com/products/fast-bundle
  8. I doubt it, if you are just referring to the normal brief blips observed as you insert things or enable/disable them. Cakewalk will usually pick back up without entirely dropping the audio engine. I believe this is just the way the audio engine was designed. Perhaps someone from the Cakewalk staff will chime in with a more technical reply. You might try increasing your audio buffer size to see how much difference that makes. What ASIO buffer size are you currently set to?
  9. That is perhaps an academic explanation, but which has no practical real-world use for a musician that just wants to buy a retail MPE keyboard and expect it to work with their existing sounds. To run the an MPE controller out of the box it is recommended to select a VSTi that has already been tested and known to work with MPE. Earlier in this thread I provided lists from 2 leading MPE controller manufacturers that list many of these currently tested instruments. Following their recommendations would make it much easier for a first-timer to leap into MPE. Cheers!

  11. Just got the email! Cool! Downloading...
  12. Not just any sound. Be aware that the VSTi instrument used must be MPE aware so that it can handle the MIDI correctly. So there are 3 important ingredients required: an MPE compatible controller, an MPE compatible host (DAW), and an MPE compatible VSTi instrument.
  13. How did you get that? I have the original...
  14. It looks like Cakewalk by BandLab supports MPE, according to this webpage at ROLI. https://support.roli.com/support/solutions/articles/36000037202-compatible-synths-daws-and-instruments And another list from LinnStrument support. https://www.rogerlinndesign.com/support/support-linnstrument-recommended-sounds So you would still be limited to using only MPE capable software synths. I don't have an MPE controller yet, but have been following the topic with interest for a few years.
  15. I guess that's clear from the content of the posts, but the thread title still has the "MBE" typo...
  16. Exactly! HIGHLIGHTING with CAPS is cool when used creatively! IT'S THE ALL CAPS THING THAT IMPLIES SHOUTING AND IS VERY OBNOXIOUS!!!
  17. One thing this has above most other 25-key mini controllers is ... Number of Keys: 25 semi-weighted, full-size keys with aftertouch
  18. As a general strategy, it might be advisable to use available DAW features to replace VST2 with VST3 where possible, as in the CbB VST preferences. But don't arbitrarily trash VST2 unless there is a good reason, such as Marled mentioned above (as some VST2 plug-ins still use the classic FXP/FXB preset method)...
  19. My first sound card was a Sound Blaster Live! on my Windows 95 PC (133 MHz).
