Is that the full version, or is Insight 1 required?
-
Yikes! Seems like I pulled the trigger a day too soon! Larry where did you find that code at?

I think that integration requires the use of the Max for Live plugin, which as far as I know requires Live Suite. https://www.musicradar.com/news/tech/create-song-ideas-instantly-in-liquid-music-for-ableton-live-plugin-628550

I think that Scaler 2 (that I have) is likely more capable than LM, as are many tools that have come around recently, as it has been a few years since Liquid Music was released. For example consider the pattern generators in Waveform, and the chord tracks & chord assistants in various DAWs such as Cubase and Studio One.

My opinion is that anytime you can confirm a bug with another user, it's time to submit a support request to the developer.
-
My stand is that unless you want to geek out on a detailed emulation of the original synth with all the bells and whistles, you might be better off with Analog Lab. Get all the sounds of V Collection, but for much less!

Done! More wouldn't hurt, though...

Those 2 do sound strange! For PAD Man at the corner, LFO1 in the Mod matrix on Layer 2 is clearly bonkers. For LED Birdland, it appears that the same thing is occurring... On the flip side, I have listened to dozens and dozens of other patches that sound just fine! Maybe a support ticket is justified...

Yes, I understand that Bulent, the KV331 dev, has been busy merging the architecture of SM One back into SM 2 for v2.9.9. In preparation for SM 3... SM One was a test of new technology that eventually became a successful iOS app that took him away for a while. His main fault was pre-announcing, and then postponing SM 3 for several years. But he says he is back on track now, and I am inclined to accept that. Hopefully he will stick to his earlier announcement that SM3 will be compatible with presets from both libraries. That would be awesome! Not to mention more layers, a wavetable editor, and granular synthesis. ?

I agree that that those synths are great as is! My first virtual instruments actually... And to better acquaint myself with them, I acquired the book "Cakewalk Synthesizers, from presets to power user" by Simon Cann. He covers those synths, as well as the others by Cakewalk. First edition published in 2007. I believe it's out of print now, but I did snag the 2nd edition, published 2010, with an update for Z3TA+2. Simon has made a free e-book available here on synth programming. It covers z3ta+ and a few others, including Surge (now an open source freeware synth): https://noisesculpture.com/how-to-make-a-noise-a-comprehensive-guide-to-synthesizer-programming/ But I doubt that there will be any new commercial libraries created for them however, as the VI market today is flooded with free and cheap synths.

Like with u-he's mythical Zebra 3, it a race to the bottom as far being first to be last, LOL! But I can imagine that SM3 will be a beast when it is released!

I have the everything bundle. Which presets are you speaking of?

I went ahead and grabbed that upgrade deal for S1 5 Pro. With my bank offering me 5% cash back for using my Visa card on PayPal purchases thru year end, that's another $5.00 discount. So that brings the price down to $94 for the upgrade. Plus I got $2.97 in BestCoin for the purchase. So that is really like $91.03 bottom line, assuming I make a future purchase at Best. And the Chris Hein harmonica for free (a $69 value)! Not quite $85, but I can live with that! ?

A big improvement that I see is that the matrix, filters, envelopes are all animated now. It's cool to see an envelope trigger, sustain and release. So when you hold a note now, you can visually see what is being modulated, based on source > target.

Another Christmas Present... SynthMaster v2.9.9 arrives (Major Free Update before v3.0) https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=557970

Just my humble opinion, but the nice folks at Arturia seem to be more on point than the nice folks at IK in setting things right quickly! ?
-
Same here! Now have all of my presets in AL V! ?
-
There is an update for Analog Lab V available! v5.0.0.1212. Run the software manager. Installed it, and now I have all of my Analog Lab 4 presets back in AL5! ?

Amplitube 5 is here - Release Date 15/12/20 or 16/12/20

That thing makes the UJAM Carbon look very weak! LOL! -
Takes a while before it gets added to your account and software manager. But it installed OK!
-
I never tried LiquidMusic. What are the advantages with that?

But do they go to 11? -
The Biotek 2 factory presets favor ambient cinematic soundscapes with the included natural and environmental samples. But if you're into sound design you could literally do almost anything with this synth. If you're a fan of electronic music sound designer Richard Devine, there are nearly 100 of his patches included here. I have some of his presets in numerous other synths, including AAS Chromaphone 3 and Ultra Analog VA-3, Arturia Analog Lab 4 (from the factory V Collection), Waves Flow Motion, and AIR Loom II. Each Biotek 2 instrument has up to 4 oscillators per layer (up to 12 layers) that can be samples, basic synth waveforms, noise, or granular. Mix or match. But no wavetables. Then there are almost limitless ways to layer sounds, and modulate and morph them. Lot's of tweaking potential!

Loom II is worth $10...
