  1. Yep! "Although EZdrummer 3 is new from top to bottom, it’s firmly rooted in what has made its predecessor the world’s number one drum production tool for songwriters: to make adding drums to your music effortless, inspirational and intuitive." "In EZdrummer 3, everything from sounds and grooves to software features and overall experience are new, improved and more powerful. Start scrolling for a glimpse of what’s to come." https://www.toontrack.com/product/ezdrummer-3/
  2. @RiccoboniHey, we are just users here, not Cakewalk staff! You may want to drop your suggestion over at the Feedback Loop where it can be seen by the Cakewalk developers. https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/8-feedback-loop/
  3. Audacity's a good one! My go-to for quick audio editing, even though I have Sound Forge Pro.
  4. Ozone 9 Advanced and Neutron 3 Advanced got updates here.
  5. Only 1 week left to get the pre-order deal!
  6. I don't think there is an update pushed for v1.x to v2.x. You would have to install that upgrade manually. I will wait till NI is ready to roll it out to the masses.
  7. I am a Unify user, have many of Skippy's libraries for Unify, and am a big fan of Skippy's sound design skills. Try to watch his livestreams every Saturday to pick up a few tricks from his demonstrations. I had a KORG X2 workstation back in the 90's. Still based on the synth engine from the M-1, with a few updates. Sold it and bought a Roland JV-1080 rack after I bought my first PC. No longer needed a synth with a hardware sequencer, just the sounds... One big selling point for the X-2 that I recall was a larger sample ROM with a 2 MB multi-sampled piano.
  8. I do seem to recall something about version 2.x being pushed out to subscribers. I'm not a subscriber and my Native Access is current on 1.14.1 (R156).
  9. In all fairness, the M-1 piano is from the late 90's late 80's, and was usable in a mix back in its day. And if producers needed to record a real piano, they probably got a real piano! But compared with modern sampled and modeled piano's - - yep, the M-1's piano is nostalgic cheese! But I will say the the pianos in the Triton Extreme are in a different class. Much nicer, but I still wouldn't buy the Triton just for its pianos either. What is truly useful is using piano in layers with up to 7 other sounds in Triton Combi's to create original piano pads, textures, and splits with overall excellent sound quality. Edit: I mis-typed the year for the M-1. It was actually from the late 80's. Fixed! So there is actually more like a 2 decade difference in sound technology between the M-1 and Triton.
  10. Not really. But definitely turning into iZotope. ?
  11. I think 9 was a worthwhile upgrade. I skipped 10, and then upgraded to 11 to support the developers. They are very innovative and have found an interesting DAW niche for creative musicians, rather than recording engineers. But under the hood, the program is really deep, and if you master the racks system you will have very flexible routing abilities. At the time of my last upgrade, the devs still seemed committed to update the documentation. But on a recent Tracktion live-stream, Woody admitted that as a very small company, they do not currently have the resources to hire a full time tech writer. They acknowledge that it is lacking. But this is the only software product that I own that does not have at least basic documentation for the many included features. Makes me sad because this is a decent DAW, but as a now and then tool for me, I need an up-to-date feature manual that I can flip open as needed. Trying to find answers scattered among dozens of videos is time consuming and easily zaps any inspiration I may have had. But they seem to think that is what the majority of their user base prefers. ?
  12. I'd advise to wait on pulling the trigger on Max until we sees how far the GB goes...
  13. I hated doing fraction conversions in math class... worse than metric conversions, or Fahrenheit to Celsius, LOL!
  14. I have Waveform 11 Pro, but see no compelling reason to upgrade it. The MIDI pattern generators were the original reason for me to get Waveform. They are handy and fun to play with, but Tracktion's lack of written documentation on new features is an issue. Have to watch videos to learn them. Ugh! ?
  15. Venus Theory overview and review... better than Softube or VCV? "Howdy! Today we're here to check Voltage Modular from Cherry Audio. It allows you to program modular synth patches, make generative music, or whatever else you can think of. "
  16. This topic is about the IK group buy, and info related to the product, and not the merits of a company's business practices. Please start another new thread to continue discussing that. Thanks!
  17. Not bad because you get Cherry Audio VM Ignite, plus the Polymode & MG-1 synths, and the Cherry Audio Stardust Tape Echo. Not a bad haul for $25. The Polymode is a very nice emulation of the Moog Polymoog. But you will have to dig through a lot of stuff like Mixcraft and a gazillion more sound loops to find those cherries!
  18. As far as I know, presets for any instrument that are created by any user are their original works. Consider that sound designers can create and sell preset collections for various 3rd party instruments. So I would say that would not be a violation of any licensing or copyrights. Just don't distribute any factory presets or samples "as-is" and you are good.
  19. May be referring to loading the instruments from old project files? More specific details on what instruments and what old files would be great!
  20. Strix Instruments released "Pripyat Pianos" for Kontakt a few years ago. Sampled in the exclusion zone. https://strixinstruments.com/pripyat-pianos/ "Made in Ukraine - 100% of income from our Libraries goes directly to Ukrainian Army."
  21. My projections show we should hit 10 free by next Tuesday... 7 1/2 days.
  22. Don't think so. Venus Theory demonstrates the LFO module in the free VM Nucleus edition at 7:25 in the video above... The included number of modules are 22, 45, and 105 in Nucleus, Ignite, and Core respectively. The modules included with this $19 deal for Ignite can be seen here: https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/voltage-modular-ignite
