  1. Bulent, the KV331 Audio developer, recently announced over at KVR that he will soon be dedicating his full time efforts to working on SynthMaster 3. He had several projects in line ahead that had to be completed first. Apple M1 compatibility being among them, as well as some iOS, NKS, and VST3 updates. At any rate, he will probably beat u-He to Zebra 3.
  2. The Syntronik 2 GUI has been reported to IK support by an IK forum moderator. See the IK Syntronik 2 Wishlist.
  3. CPU Hungry? Here's a screen grab of Reaper with one instance of Objeq Delay on an audio loop. Seeing about 0.60% CPU here for the FX...
  4. It's showing $8.74 USD now. Get it, this is a great effect!
  5. Maybe some folks here just don't like beards? Funnily enough, all of the comments about Rikk on YouTube were positive...
  6. Sounds similar to my reaction to Dream Theater. Only vaguely knew of them until a few years ago. They have a great keyboard player that kicks butt on Syntronik!
  7. That's the point! Take em or leave em!
  8. Imagine if they had Syntronik in 2007? Just kidding! But this is the first live performance where I have seen soft synths prominently displayed! RIP Klaus!

  10. Not sure about standouts, because hits and misses are rather subjective. They are all high quality, so it really comes down to collecting instruments that fill in the gaps in your collection, and broaden your sound palette. There are many here that are not modeled yet. Here's the list again: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/syntronik2gb/
  11. Following the installations, you will have accumulated a crap ton of huge downloaded installers in your default IK Product Manager Folder. Since my download folder is on my boot drive, I delete them after I have confirmed the installations are successful. You may want to archive them somewhere to avoid the potential reactivation fee, but I don't want to waste the disk space. YMMV.
  12. If you had already installed Syntronik 2 CS, the v2 synths will appear as already installed because installing CS placed limited versions of the Syntronik 2 synths with a few presets into your account. So technically they are already installed. IK should have provided a better FAQ for installation! Clicking on re-install for each one will refresh them by downloading and installing the full purchased content. So yes, do this before the downloads expire! ? And you do not actually have to register them manually if you purchased thru the IK store. In that case they are automatically registered for you.
  13. Only 29 more participants to 11 free products!
  14. At 2:30 you can see Spectrasonics Atmosphere and NI Absynth and FM7 on the screen behind...
  15. RIP Klaus!!! ? I really got into Tangerine Dream back in the mid-80's. Picked up a few of their albums on cassette tape and played them in my car stereo or my portable walkman wherever I went, until I had pretty much worn them out. Great stuff!!! Gotta start working on updating those streaming playlists now!
  16. Those classic analog Moog, Jupiter, and Prophet sounds will be found among the original 22, except for the DX-7. You may want to check out the new GS-V, which is based on the early Yamaha GS-1 FM synth, or the new KW-8000, based on the Korg digital-analog hybrid DW-8000. Or the new Pro VS, based on the Prophet VS, with 4 digital oscillators through an analog filter.
  17. I'm happily skipping the GS-V install. Not a huge fan of Yamaha FM. ? Same with the rest. Going to cherry pick what I put on my drive. Already have a lot of the same synths covered by emulations from Arturia V Collection, Korg Collection, u-He, and Cherry Audio. No need to duplicate my Moog, OB, Prophet, and Roland units with samples until I find a good reason to do so... But I'm gladly making and exception for the M-12, because that's friggin awesome!!!
  18. Go for the 11 new synths first.
  19. Yay!!! ... and I'm in with Syntronik 2 M-12. Downloading now... (tip: if you have already installed a synth in the Syntronik 2 CS version, you just need to click on reinstall in IKPM) Holy crap!!! 19.3 GB ?
  20. EZD 3 does not replace EZD 2 on your system it installs side by side. All new!
  21. There's been another new update to SynthMaster 2.9.12. Bulent posted this over at KVR today: https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8418427#p8418427 "Guys, please check for updates inside SynthMaster and download the latest version (2.9.12, revision 12558). That version fixed critical issues for the vst3 version."
  22. I thought Rikk was funny, and just a bit over the top. But a good explainer!
  23. These modules will also run in the free version of VM. So it's actually a rather inexpensive way to get an unofficial Moog modular! On sale now for $49. https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/vm900-collection
  24. The Year 3 Collection would add the VM900 Collection for me. It's on my wishlist, but has to wait for my budget to catch up from the other spring sales. The VM900 delivers the audio and visual experience of the legendary Moog 900-series modules... The 26-module VM900-series collection has not been altered or updated to reflect modern trends - panel layouts and operation have been preserved in order to present a one-to-one early analog experience like no other. From oscillator drift to warm mixer overdrive to painstakingly reproduced panel art, it’s all there - the Cherry Audio/MRB VM900 Collection is simply a “must-have” module set for all purveyors of vintage analog synthesis! Moog’s 900 series modular in software, all beautiful imperfections included, in Cherry Audio remake https://cdm.link/2021/10/moogs-900-series-modular-in-software-all-beautiful-imperfections-included-in-cherry-audio-remake/ It’s not so easy to get an authentic-sounding recreation of the classic 1960s Moog modular. So that makes Cherry Audio’s unofficial version welcome to all of us modular fans...
