  1. And since Syntronik 2 MAX will take 200GB of disk space, maybe a better option would be to just cherry pick your Syntronik favorites, rather than getting them all?
  2. Since you can use up to 30% ($15) in Jam Points, the price of entry now for buy 1, get 2 free is $34.99.
  3. V1 synths do not get "upgraded". The v2 synths get added. So you have to get MAX to have all v2.
  4. I think that may be a key point that many folks do not realize. A good gaming machine does not automatically mean a good DAW machine. But it can likely be wrangled into proper DAW form with a bit of care. Stable real time audio processing is a bit more tricky than FPS in games, or even video editing.
  5. OK, wow I had never seen that! Not mentioned in the manual. Running Voltage Core here, so many modules that I have not even tried yet, LOL! I also have the Vintage Voice modules bundle that allow you to insert the DCO-60 (Juno-106) and the SynthVoice (ARP 2600) into VM as complete instruments, which is pretty cool. But being able to use any plugin almost seems like cheating. Ha!
  6. Wait, say what? I have Voltage Modular and wasn't aware that it could host VST plugins. For me it's just the rack modules that are programmed to work in VM...
  7. There are also several Download Managers that I recall tend to "cache" your downloads until you manually push a button to clear them out. That can also add up. Starting with: Acustica Aquarius Toontrack Product Manager Waves Central
  8. @User 905133All LABS instruments are definitely free to download and use, for personal or professional use, once you sign up for a Spitfire Audio account. No catches, other than a few hoops to jump though involving signing up & installing the Spitfire Audio app, which is a download manager that you will use to access any Spitfire libraries you may have purchased, plus the free LABS instruments. From the LABS FAQ: I have them all, and it didn't cost anything. IMO, one of the greatest "FREE" deals around these days! John "Skippy" Lehmkul of PluginGuru has even published a (free) Unified patch library to use with LABS in Unify (not free). Highly recommended!

  10. Did you try PayPal? I think the billing address stays between you and PayPal unless you are required to sign up for an account at the reseller site and give your actual address. Which they do not actually need, since it's a download only.
  11. Addictive Keys free studio grand works just great on a 48 key controller = 4 octaves. https://www.xlnaudio.com/demos https://www.xlnaudio.com/products/addictive_keys/instrument/studio_grand A random list of the 8 Best FREE Piano VST Plugins in 2022 https://www.producersphere.com/best-free-piano-plugins/ I have only used one of these 8, Soft Piano, from the Spitfire Audio LABS series. Even better is the LABS Glass Piano, particularly the Glass Grand preset. Recorded at his home in New York City, this is legendary composer Philip Glass's beloved piano. His entire breadth of compositional work over the past 30 years has been written on this piano — including seminal works The Piano Etudes, all of his Academy Award-nominated film scores, and hundreds of other compositions. Discover the unique sonic personality of this baby grand with a range of sounds — from classic and beautiful, to soft and atmospheric. There are currently 47 free instruments in the LABS series, with regular additions. Worth checking out! Downloads are available via the Spitfire Audio app. The plugin doesn't require Kontakt or anything, as Spitfire now uses it's custom player plugin [VST2, VST3, AAX and AU], for all Spitfire libraries. https://labs.spitfireaudio.com/#type=&search=&new=true

No hacked or cracked software, please! ?
  14. The suite is sweet! You could sell much of your 3rd party stuff and just use this, if Ableton was your main DAW. There are tons of bundled instruments, effects, and downloadable packs that are intended to to make sound design within the DAW part of the Ableton workflow. All are optional downloads, so you can pick and choose what suits you. No need to load it all. Many of the instruments even come with included demo projects so you can see them used in context, and experiment with them. Included instruments: https://www.ableton.com/en/live/compare-editions/#software-instruments Included packs: https://www.ableton.com/en/live/compare-editions/#packs Included audio effects: https://www.ableton.com/en/live/compare-editions/#audio-effects Included MIDI effects: https://www.ableton.com/en/live/compare-editions/#midi-effects Max for Live devices: https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/#?item_type=max_for_live

    Windows 11 Lite

Use caution, since this is not an official Microsoft build! At best you would be running an unlicensed, unsupported, version of Windows. At worst, you would really have no idea whose code you are executing on your computer. A perfect vehicle for a trojan! Not saying that it is, but I would never take the chance to find out! ? https://beebom.com/how-install-windows-11-lite/

  20. What really matters in the end is what sounds good to our ears, and meets our needs which are all different. And inspires us! No software emulation is likely to match the original hardware. Even two analog units are unlikely to match each other!
  21. Head on over to KVR where the real synth beatdowns are happening!!! ???
  22. OK, stick to your hardware. Oh! I forgot, it's still in the box! ?
