  2. LABS in use here: piano, choir, strings, & bass. with added percussion and effects for the mix.
  3. The Eighty Eight is actually a decent sampled grand piano. The inclusion of some piano pads is a nice touch. SONiVOX samples are actually pretty good. It's just that their plugin GUI's and features are sometimes lacking some obvious functionality. I got Eight Eight with their Premier bundle for a very good discount. Had bought the Orchestral Strings Companion for $1, and then got an upgrade offer that included the Film Score Companion titles and more, which was a no-brainer! Funny thing, Ableton partnered with SONiVOX to include some orchestral strings, woodwinds, mallets, & brass samples, to integrate into the Live workflow. For example:
  4. Interesting idea, but not how it works today. That would likely require a feature request. If there is some underlying code they could just switch on, that would be great!
  5. I gotcha. That probably should not have happened.
  6. What update did you run? SynthMaster CM is a different product than SynthMaster 2, and the updates are probably not intended to be compatible. Computer Music would be the one to publish updates for CM products, as they did earlier this year for Zebra CM and Bazille CM.
  7. Spitfire LABS instruments are entirely free, and worth checking out. https://labs.spitfireaudio.com/ Once you register, and install the Spitfire Audio installer, you can download any/all of the LABS instruments. Kontakt not required, as the LABS instruments run in the Spitfire plugin. One of the best freebies around!

    Update: Korg M1

Version 1.0.6 was just for Mac. Windows still up to date on 1.0.5. https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/articles/4402445745945-TRITON-Extreme
  9. At the 8:28 mm:ss mark until 30:00 mm:ss, Erik dives in to the details of the Edit page, including wave sets, sub-oscillators, drift, and the mod matrix. Good explanations!
  10. Yes, from what I have seen, Reaper is under-the-hood the most compact, stable, utilitarian DAW available. For the price it can't be beat if you just need a recording & mixing setup. I love the universal track and routing scheme! If I cannot figure out how to make something work elsewhere, Reaper rarely lets me down! It does what it does extremely well, but lacks a few of the nice extra features that come along in something like Studio One.
  11. I'm done now after NI Komplete, Spitfire BBCSO Core, Soundiron Hyperion Strings Elements & Hyperion Brass Elements, Amadeus Symphonic Orchestra, SampleTank 4, and Miroslav Philharmonik... plus a few acoustic/electric/pedal steel guitar, fiddle, dobro, electric/acoustic bass libraries from Ample Sound, Indiginus, Orange Tree, & UJAM. Oh, wait. There's still a couple of freebies that I need to grab, LOL! ?
  12. That's a big distraction. Your DAW esthetics should ideally be inspirational, or at least transparent to your creativity.
  13. Neoverb is cool, but not a replacement forthe Exponential reverbs...
  14. Commitment issues, LOL!
  15. Reaper is a cool backup DAW. I have one plugin that only runs correctly in Reaper. Go figure! But that Echolot theme is a big improvement for the eyes over the the default Reaper 6.x theme...
  16. I only check about once a month. I know, I'm a slacker! ?
  17. Found an update to Ozone 9 and Neutron 3 in there as well.
  18. Sine. Spitfire Player. Soundpaint. Why the heck can't they all just use Kontakt?
